Matot – Man and Woman – Light and Vessel

The Zohar defines humans as " מדבר ", one who speaks. This puts humans above all nature and closer to G-d.

The parasha starts with the laws of vows. If a man makes a vow or swears an oath, he shall not break his word and must act according to the words that came out of his mouth.

" He shall do according to all that proceeded out of his mouth "

The Zohar defines humans as " מדבר ", one who speaks. This puts humans above all nature and closer to G-d.

The parasha starts with the laws of vows. If a man makes a vow or swears an oath, he shall not break his word and must act according to the words that came out of his mouth.

A man has the power to annul his daughter\’s or wife\’s vows but not his vows.

The reason for that is that a female is a vessel and a man is a channel for the Light. They are connected to his Light and If he hears his daughter or wife make a vow, it makes him part of the process. He can then deny channeling the Light from coming to the vessel.

When the words come out of the mouth, the Light is formed to supply the energy to it. It is automatic. The man must follow his words because the Light comes in unconditionally. If he doesn\’t, then that energy is taken by the other side and used for negativity.

A young female that still lives with her father is connected to his Light. A husband and wife get connected through marriage and the process of the seven blessings, "Kidushin" that forms a unit of male and female. The male controls the Light flow into the unit and therefore he can annul her vows.

A woman is at the Malchut level and her words can manifest without much work. Her desire (vessel) makes things happen. (It is easy to understand now the saying "behind a successful man, there is a successful or powerful wife").

In a true marriage, the husband feels the power of his wife\’s desires strongly; she can make or break the relationship.

The power of the vessel is like a magnet. Like a metal drawn to a magnet, the light is drawn to a vessel. The bigger the vessel, the bigger the Light drawn in.

When a woman\’s vows are annulled, "וַיקוָק יִסְלַח-לָהּ" The Light forgives her. The English translation hides the real spiritual process. The numerical value for the root word "סְלַח " is 98 and it is the same for the word " צח ", which means clean and pure. Because the man annulled her vow, she is not responsible for its fulfillment and the Light cleanses her.

If a man annuls the vow of his daughter or wife he takes the responsibility. But if he shall make them null and void after that he has heard them, then he shall bear her iniquity ".

In the name of God the female energy is represented by the letters \’ה\'(H), the first "ה"(H) (Upper) is for the level of Binah, pure light with desire to share.  The last letter is for Malchut, representing the lack of light and desire to take.
The male energy is the first letter "י"(Y) for the levels of Keter and Chokmah and it is unreachable by us because no desire can be found there for us to connect.
The letter "ו"(V) represents Zeir Anpin and man to channel the light form Binah to Malchut.

Here is how the Light flows to this world according to the name of God (in a very simple way)
.
י Yod = Keter and Chokamh (Pure Light)
ה He = Binah (Female, desire to share)
ו Vav = Zeir Anpin (Male, channel for the light)
ה He = Malchut (Female, Desire = Vessel=Manifestation, The Light in Malchut take the shape of the vessel)

We are all responsible for every thing that comes out of our mouth.
When we speak we have the power to create. It is done by connecting the Light and the desire (the vessel).

Watch your words!

Chukat – The Red Heifer and the Final Redemption

“And they will bring to you a red heifer, faultless, where there is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke”
The Torah instructs us many times to make sacrifices of different animals. The purpose of that process as explained in earlier commentaries is to remove impurities caused by our actions.
Here is the first time the Torah gives specific details on the animal, this special animal need to be ” פָרָה “, a red heifer, without any blemishes and one that was never used for work.
The Ari Hakadosh, Rabbi Isaac Luria, in Sefer Halikutim, teach us that the letter ” פָרָה ” are connection to ” םןץףך “, the five final letters of the Hebrew Alef-Bet. They are equal to 280 ” פָר ” and ” ה ” 5 for the 5 levels of “Gevurah”, the left column of the Tree of Life, starting up from Binah.

The ” פָרָה ” needs to be of red color, the color that represents the left column, the desire. The Kohen, slaughter the ” פָרָה ” , let the red blood out of her and splash it seven times against the Holy, then burn her to ashes ” אֵפֶר “. This word is built from ” פר ” and ” א “.
The Red Heifer is now reduced to ashes. Before we had 280 + 5 and now 280+1 (for the Kolel). The letter ” ה ” of Malchut is now ” א “, the letter of the seed of Light ” אור “, and the concealed beginning of the Torah.
As you can see here the mathematics of the Hebrew letters connecting us to the supernal root, and reveal the energy behind them. The precepts that the Torah is teaching us are the guide and the technology to connect to the supernal.
Understanding the code gives us better connection and ability to draw the concealed Light in the Torah. Every story, every action, every letter has a connection to the supernal.
During the whole process, every one that touches the red heifer becomes impure. Only the persons that the Kohen splashes the ” אֵפֶר “, the ashes on them, get purified from the energy of death.
The three main words used in the process are ” פרה “, ” שרפ “, ” אפר “, has the connection to ” פר “, equal to ” םןץףך “.
The first part of the Parasha “Chukat” is read on “Shabbat Parah”, which is the first Shabbat after Purim. This begins the purification process before Passover and the beginning of the New Year that starts with the month of Nisan.
The Connection to circumcision
During the circumcision process, The “Mohel” (The person that does the act of removing the foreskin from the child’s reproductive organ), need to do the action of ” פריעה “, which is tearing the skin and revealing the opening of the organ. The tearing process should be done with the two hands.
The reproductive organ is at the level of Yesod, the channel for the Light, it has the ability to create life and continuation in this world. At the end of it we have the foreskin, which represent death, the Sin of Adam and the Snake.
We see the connection with the letters ” פר ” at the beginning of the word ” פריעה “.
The process of ” פריעה ” is skipped many times by the Mohels and unfortunately it hurts the child’s ability to connect and channel the Light for himself and for his children. The circumcision is a technology that helps to remove negativity from the child and open his channel for the Light to flow.
If a parent wants his child to have better chance connecting to the Light and be righteous, he need to have a Mohel that will follow the whole physical process with the spiritual consciousness.
The Final redemption
The Zohar, in Tikkun thirty seven of Tikkunei Hazohar, reveal us the process of redemption. The Creator will remember the covenant and will come to remove all negativity and death from the world. This is the secret of the foreskin and ” פריעה “, tearing and bleeding.
We are living in the world of death, a world with ends. Life and other actions we do come to an end sooner or later. This is true until we have the final correction of ” פר “, 280 lights that the Creator will correct for us with the five final letters.
There will be some “bleeding” before the channel of Yesod will open and existence will be flooded with the Light of the Creator. This is the time of Mashiach and we hope it is coming, Today, Amen.

Balak – Curses and Blessings

The Ari Hakadosh reveals us that Moses\’s root soul came from the good side of " הבל " (Abel, the son of Adam) , which is the letter " ה " and Balaam came from the bad side, which is the letters " בל ". They were both connected to the sefira of "דעת ", Moshe was connected to the side of holiness and Balaam to the negativity and impurity. They were both prophets.

" טוֹב-עַיִן, הוּא יְבֹרָךְ: כִּי-נָתַן מִלַּחְמוֹ לַדָּל " (Proverbs 23:9)

The Ari Hakadosh reveals us that Moses\’s root soul came from the good side of " הבל " (Abel, the son of Adam) , which is the letter " ה " and Balaam came from the bad side, which is the letters " בל ". They were both connected to the sefira of "דעת ", Moshe was connected to the side of holiness and Balaam to the negativity and impurity. They were both prophets.

Balak was a grand magician with deeper understanding and knowledge of the spiritual system. He knew what needed to be done in order to eliminate the growth of the Israelites and the threat to his position.

He knew that Balaam was at the same level of Moses from the negative side and that he could be the only one that can separate the connection of Moses and the Israelites to the Light from their root. That is by using the power of words. Not well equipped armies and no sophisticated weapons of mass destructions. Few well selected words by the right person could do the job.

The words come out of the mouth as "הבל ", "vapor" of the mouth. The Ari explains that Balaam, with his words and consciousness, wanted to connect Moses and himself together again (as they were in Abel) and let the evil side (Balaam) overcome the good (Moses).

Another connection to the name is in Numbers 23:20 " הִנֵּה בָרֵךְ, לָקָחְתִּי; וּבֵרֵךְ, וְלֹא אֲשִׁיבֶנָּה ", the first letters of the first three words are spelled "הבל ", the Ari explains that this is where he wanted to take the good from Moses.

Bringing negativity on Moses would have caused him a disconnection from his higher root of the level of Daat "דעת ". This sefira is actually the result of the connection of Chokmah and Binah ( Aba and Ima or Supernal Father and Mother). As a connection to the Light for the whole nation of Yisrael, Balaam and Balak knew that if they were successful, it would be like a spiritual beheading for the Israelites.

Moses was already protected and Balaam was instructed by G-d \’to leave him and the nation alone\’. Balak did not let Balaam walk away. They continued with the plan and after the last attempt (Numbers 24:1-4); Balaam tried to \’trick\’ G-d by changing the method of his curse

" וְלֹא-הָלַךְ כְּפַעַם-בְּפַעַם, לִקְרַאת נְחָשִׁים; וַיָּשֶׁת אֶל-הַמִּדְבָּר, פָּנָיו "

"He went, not like the other times, to meet with enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness"

Then in Numbers 24:3
" וַיִּשָּׂא מְשָׁלוֹ, וַיֹּאמַר: נְאֻם בִּלְעָם בְּנוֹ בְעֹר, וּנְאֻם הַגֶּבֶר שְׁתֻם הָעָיִן "
" And he took up his parable, and said: The saying of Balaam the son of Beor, and the saying of the man whose eye is opened"

In the Hebrew verse we see that there are four words that are missing the letter Vav "ו ". This letter represents the six Sefirot of Zeir Anpin. That was Balaam\’s preparation to cut the Light from the Israelites.

A miracle happened and G-d turned the curse into six words blessing.

"מַה-טֹּבוּ אֹהָלֶיךָ, יַעֲקֹב; מִשְׁכְּנֹתֶיךָ, יִשְׂרָאֵל "
" How goodly are your tents, O Jacob, your dwellings, O Israel!"

Those six words give us the power of protection. The sum of the first letter of each word adds up to 110 and that is equal to "נס ", "Miracle". Also small Gimatria 11, which has the power of overcoming negativity.

Many use this blessing when they enter the synagogue to make a spiritual connection.

The word "מַה" (=45) itself represents the name of G-d at the level of Zeir Anpin, the letter "ו "of the Holy name.

The first word " מַה ", in this parasha appears at the top of the column of the Torah scroll. The Torah is written on 248 columns of 42 rows each. Every column starts with the letter " ו ", except for six places, beginning with the first letter and word of the Torah " ב " of " בְּרֵאשִׁית ". The six letters are " ביה־שמו"numerical value 363 " המשיח " = The Mashiach. Also same value as " משה־חי ", Moses is alive.

Realizing his failure to disconnect the Light from the Top, Balaam suggested Balak that if they cannot stop the light from coming, they can try to drain it out using a connection to the Sixth Sefira of Yesod (the sex organs).

Balak sent beautiful women with magical powers to lure the leaders to connect with them.

The Torah (Numbers 25:1) tells us what happened " וַיֵּשֶׁב יִשְׂרָאֵל, בַּשִּׁטִּים; וַיָּחֶל הָעָם, לִזְנוֹת אֶל-בְּנוֹת מוֹאָב "

The word " לִזְנוֹת " describes the spiritual process. The letter Lamed "ל " connects to the upper three sefirot, it is built from " ו " and " כ " (together 26), the next two letters are " זנ " and it means "to feed" " ו " is the channel for Zeir Anpin and the sixth sefira of Yesod, " ת " is the last letter of the Alef-Bet, for Malchut. It this case the Malchut of the negative side.

" וַיִּצָּמֶד יִשְׂרָאֵל, לְבַעַל פְּעוֹר; וַיִּחַר-אַף יְהוָה, בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל "

The light of the nation started flowing toward the negativity and the effect was a plague and 24000 people died before they were saved by Pinchas.

The Light force comes from "above", by the merit of our leaders and spiritual connections. Our actions determine if we can hold and use this light or lose it to negativity.

By the merit of Moses\’ spiritual strength the Israelites were protected from the top and were saved from total destruction.

They lost on the individual level, when they acted negatively.

It is important for us to connect to a righteous person to share his merit and protection of the Light, but we are always responsible for our personal actions.

Emor- What is time?

These are the appointed seasons of G-d, even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their appointed season.

The word “מועד”, (=season =time) has the numerical value of 120. This connects us to the 12 months, signs of the Zodiac and that control the energy flow from each constellation.
G-d tells us about special times in a year, where there is a special energy available to us. He instructs us to announce them as a form of connection to that time/energy.

\"\"Albert Einstein said that time is just another dimension, a fourth one to go along with the up-down, side-side, forward-back we move through every day. Our understanding of time, Einstein said, is based on its relationship to our environment. The most radical interpretation of his theory: Past, present, and future are merely figments of our imagination, constructs built by our brains so that everything doesn’t seem to happen at once.
Einstein’s conception of unified space-time works better on graph paper than in the real world. Time isn’t like those other dimensions – for one thing, we move only one way within it.
Again; you can move in space in any direction, but time has only ONE direction.
Why so? Why can’t we go back in time?

The simple answer is; Time is illusion, a TEMPOrary perception. If we can’t move freely in time then we don’t need to and we don’t have to. Time exists only on the material level to create a state of beginning and end. There is no time in the spiritual dimensions.
The experience of time change from one person to another, and from one event to another.

Time was created for us so we can do our “time”. We were born into time frame to define and do work. We’ve been “pushed” into matter, the prison of the soul, a place of work with beginning and end.
The portion of Emor gives us the time map of the Holidays, a time where we can connect to higher levels to get help in doing our time.

Vayechi – The Architect signed his work.

The Architect signed his work.

" וַיִּקְרָא יַעֲקֹב, אֶל-בָּנָיו; וַיֹּאמֶר, הֵאָסְפוּ וְאַגִּידָה לָכֶם, אֵת אֲשֶׁר-יִקְרָא אֶתְכֶם, בְּאַחֲרִית הַיָּמִים "

Vayechi is the last parasha in Genesis "בְּרֵאשִׁית " and as such, completes the level of the whole book, Keter "כתר ". Keter is the point above the head where the original thought comes in to our mind. All our actions precede a thought. We do not control the original thought. It comes to us from the spiritual realm, enters the brain (right and left) and gets processed before action is taken.

Vayechi is called "parasha stumah" "פרשה־סתומה ", meaning closed parasha. This term is used when the end of the previous parasha and the start of the next parasha are on the same line with no space.

The Torah is such an amazing code and tool that we cannot even grasp its awesomeness. Like Rabbi Akiva and Rabbi Shimon said that every letter in the Torah is holy and in it s perfect place. Rabbi Akiva adds that he can give "mountains" of lectures on every letter in it. The rules of writing the Torah preserved this tool\’s integrity without corruption for the last 3320 years.
Vayechi is a closed parasha in order to connect the light from the whole book of Genesis into it.

When we listen to the parasha, we have the opportunity to connect to the light of Keter, to the thought and purpose of the whole creation. On the individual level you can meditate to connect to your own purpose in life and ask for the right thoughts to come to you and guide you in your life.

The book of Genesis starts with the special letter "ב " (Bet) at the top of the first column and in this parasha we find the letter "י " at the top of the column (Genesis 49:8).

The two special letter sums up to 12 to bring the power of Jacob\’s blessing to his 12 sons. Since Keter represents the original thought of creation then the end is already included in it. The Architect knows how the building will look like before he draws the first line on the drawing board.

The architect of our universe put the whole creation in Genesis, from beginning to end. This is why Rabbi Shimon wrote the 70 "Tikunim", explanations, to the first word of the Torah, "בְּרֵאשִׁית ", which is the beginning of all beginnings. Vayechi completes the first book and seals the thought of creation.

Jacob (Tiferet), before he died, made a connection with Joseph (Yesod), so that the flow of the light of the central column would continue through Joseph (Yesod) to Malchut. This was done at the beginning of the parasha when Jacob asked Joseph to put his hand under his thigh and made him swear. "שבועה " in Hebrew is from the root word, seven "שבע ". This act connects the upper six sefirot to the seventh, Malchut. That is why the sages say that if a person swears and does not follow his commitment, it is like destroying worlds.

At this stage Jacob knews G-d\’s plan and he gathered his sons to give them the blessings. Genesis 49:1
" וַיִּקְרָא יַעֲקֹב, אֶל-בָּנָיו; וַיֹּאמֶר, הֵאָסְפוּ וְאַגִּידָה לָכֶם, אֵת אֲשֶׁר-יִקְרָא אֶתְכֶם, בְּאַחֲרִית הַיָּמִים "
And Jacob called unto his sons, and said: \’Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you which shall happened to you in the end of days.

We see that Jacob actually brought them together to tell them what would happen in the end of days. As we mentioned earlier, Keter holds everything in it, the beginning and the end. Jacob saw the future and he channeled the proper energy to his sons through the different blessings.

Special attention to the two verses 48:16 "הַמַּלְאָךְ הַגֹּאֵל אֹתִי מִכָּל-רָע, יְבָרֵךְ אֶת-הַנְּעָרִים , וְיִקָּרֵא בָהֶם שְׁמִי, וְשֵׁם אֲבֹתַי אַבְרָהָם וְיִצְחָק; וְיִדְגּוּ לָרֹב, בְּקֶרֶב הָאָרֶץ ." "the angel who has redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named in them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.\’". Jacob connects his own angels to the children of Joseph and to all of us. This blessing is used on Friday nights for fathers to bless their children (with the energy of Shabbat, of completion).

The other special verse is in 49:22 "בֵּן פֹּרָת יוֹסֵף, בֵּן פֹּרָת עֲלֵי-עָיִן; בָּנוֹת, צָעֲדָה עֲלֵי-שׁוּר .", "Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine by a fountain; its branches run over the wall." This gives the protection from all evil eyes. All the blessings are important, for financial and spiritual growth. The number of verses in this parasha is 85 and it is equal to "פה ", mouth, to strengthen the power of Jacob\’s blessings to his sons and to all of us.

At the end of the Parasha, Joseph asks his brothers to swear to him that when G-d will redeem them they will take its bones (also essence) with them. "וַיַּשְׁבַּע יוֹסֵף, אֶת-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵאמֹר: פָּקֹד יִפְקֹד אֱלֹהִים אֶתְכֶם, וְהַעֲלִתֶם אֶת-עַצְמֹתַי מִזֶּה ." "And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying: \’God will surely remember you, and you shall carry up my bones from hence."

Let us pray that the final redemption will be Today, Amen.

Vaera and Bo

Vaera and Bo – a little light pushes away a lot of darkness

The two Torah portions of Vaerah and Bo are connected with the 10 plagues. Vaerah brings the story of the first seven and Bo brings the last three.
The most important questions are why are there 10 plagues? Why did G-d harden Pharaoh\’s heart?

In this short article I will try to explain the amazing teaching the Torah gives us here. First remember that we just started the Book of Exodus and Jacob connected to Joseph to form the connection from the upper triangle of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Chessed, Gevurah, Tiferet) to Joseph (Yesod).

Think of this as the power outlet on the wall ready to channel the energy out. Joseph is the source or the positive (hot wire). Having that setting, the spiritual system is with great potential of manifestation.

The first verse of Vaera reveals the desire of the Light to show more of its forces in this world.
Exodus 6:2, 3 "God also said to Moses, "I am the LORD. 3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty, but by my name the LORD I did not make myself known to them."
"וַיְדַבֵּר אֱלֹקים, אֶל-מֹשֶׁה; וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו, אֲנִי יְקוָק."
"וָאֵרָא, אֶל-אַבְרָהָם אֶל-יִצְחָק וְאֶל-יַעֲקֹב–בְּאֵל שַׁדָּי; וּשְׁמִי יְקוָק, לֹא נוֹדַעְתִּי לָהֶם"
We see that G-d prepares Moshe for a greater revelation of light and asks him to prepare the people to connect to the new forced, (6:7)
וְלָקַחְתִּי אֶתְכֶם לִי לְעָם, וְהָיִיתִי לָכֶם לֵאלֹקים;

(6:7) I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians.
G-d wanted to fulfill his promise to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the process had to start now.  After Joseph established the channel of Yesod, the Light needed to flow to the world and like electrical system, the power needed consumers to keep the flow.  G-d needed the people for that and in many ways they had no choice but to accept.

That is the reason for the command to Pharaoh "שַׁלַּח אֶת-עַמִּי, וְיַעַבְדֻנִי" (Let my people go, so that they may worship me)

The completion of the Vessel

Moshe and Aharon with their willingness to walk the way of G-d became the base of the lower triangle. Moshe as the level of Netzah and Aharon as Hod complete the five sefirot that makes the vessel for the light (Chessed, Gevurah, Tiferet, Netzach and Hod). Yesod (Joseph) is the funnel to continue the Light from the vessel to the world.

With the upper three sefirot of Keter, Chokmah and Binah we have the magic of eight that causes a greater revelation of the light and Zeir Anpin has a face name (יְקוָק).
The Holy Ari, reveals to us that Zeir Anpin was born (start its revelation in the world) and that is why G-d assigned Moshe of 80 years old for the mission to bring this light to the world.  As I mentioned in the commentary to Shemot, Pharaoh was not aware of the spiritual force of יְקוָק. He couldn\’t accept any command from unknown G-d but since he was the head of the impure system and the desire for the self, the new revelation had to be the most negative place.

The Zohar teaches us, "A little light pushes away a lot of darkness". Pharaoh suffered because the Light chose to appear there, where the people of G-d were.
The ten plagues are the result of the revelation of the Light of Zeir Anpin.  We see how each plague is connected to the level of the Light revealed.

   1. Water to Blood – in the water (lower and basic element)
   2. Frogs – Lower level creatures connecting water and land
   3. Gnats – small and came upon men and animals.
   4. Flies – in the air and spread fast everywhere, including people and houses.
   5. Livestock Diseased – More significant plague that affect movement (horses, donkeys and camels) and food (cattle and sheep and goats).
   6. Boils – caused by the hand of Moshe and spread from the sky throughout the land of Egypt.
   7. Thunder and Hail – comes from the sky with deadly force.
   8. Locusts – Comes from unknown source into the land of Egypt and devoured all that was left after the hail–everything growing in the fields and the fruit on the trees. Nothing green remained on tree or plant in all the land of Egypt.
   9. Darkness – A paralyzing darkness on the physical and mind level.
  10. Death of the Firstborn – The last and final hit. Disconnecting the negativity from its source.

We see how the strength of the plague is getting stronger as it continues.  When the Light appears, darkness must go. This is why Pharaoh had no chance against the awesome light of Zeir Anpin.  This light matured later with the revelation on Mount Sinai and the giving of the Torah.

Exodus 13:1 "The LORD said to Moses, 2 "Consecrate to me every first born male. The first offspring of every womb among the Israelites belongs to me, whether man or animal".

This is the cost of keeping the first born alive. G-d took them under his protection and in order to keep them we have to go through the process of "redemption of the first born". This is a process where the parents bring the child to the Cohen to pay him to keep their son with them. This process is done 40 days after the child is born and in simple calculation we find out that it is on the tenth day after the ten month from the planting of the seed. Remind you of something?

If you have a first born child or you are a first born, it is never too late to go through the process. Consult your Rabbi.

On a personal level we learn to be responsible to our actions. There is an automated cause and effect system and we are all must follow its laws.  If we have a file with negative records we need to bring the light in and clear it. It may cause us some pain in the process but we will be free after that.

Many people that goes back to religion or spirituality, feels that effect and if they are not aware to the laws described above, they think that the system goes against them and if they gives up before paying the full payment.

In Isaiah 51:17 we read at the time before the final redemption "הִתְעוֹרְרִי הִתְעוֹרְרִי, קוּמִי יְרוּשָׁלִַם, אֲשֶׁר שָׁתִית מִיַּד יְקוָק, אֶת-כּוֹס חֲמָתוֹ; אֶת-קֻבַּעַת כּוֹס הַתַּרְעֵלָה, שָׁתִית–מָצִית"
Awake, awake! Rise up, O Jerusalem, you who have drunk from the hand of the LORD the cup of his wrath, you who have drained to its dregs the goblet that makes men stagger.

The Hebrew words explain better that when we finish paying for our negativity (cleansing by the Light), we will wake up to (Isaiah 51:22) "כֹּה-אָמַר אֲדֹנַיִךְ יְקוָק, וֵאלֹהַיִךְ יָרִיב עַמּוֹ, הִנֵּה לָקַחְתִּי מִיָּדֵךְ, אֶת-כּוֹס הַתַּרְעֵלָה–אֶת-קֻבַּעַת כּוֹס חֲמָתִי, לֹא-תוֹסִיפִי לִשְׁתּוֹתָהּ עוֹד"
(Isaiah 51:22) "This is what your Sovereign LORD says, your God, who defends his people: "See, I have taken out of your hand the cup that made you stagger; from that cup, the goblet of my wrath, you will never drink again."

Let us pray for the day, hopefully today, to see G-d takes away from us all pain and suffering and reveal Mashiach, Amen.

Mishpatim – 5768 – Slavery or Freedom? What is your choice?

Slavery or Freedom? What is your choice?

In last year’s commentary on Mishpatim, I had explained that the Zohar teaches us that in this parasha we find the laws of reincarnation.
If you did not read it then I highly suggest you read it now before continuing with the rest of this article. Click Here: Mishpatim 5767

The Zohar explains in Mishatim that the Torah gives us good advice and we all depend on it. The Holy One, Bless be He, gives a protection to our souls so we can keep it away from negative influences. In other words, it protects us from “selling our soul to the Devil”. The common image of that is a dark deal between the Devil (Red eyes, Horns, Forked tail…) and a person where the devil promises special powers in return for the person’s eternal soul. This is a great invention by the negative side in order to distract us from the real truth that is very simple. We sell our soul to negativity, each time we prefer to satisfy the material and physical desires without making a connection to the light. The purpose of the soul is to seek and reveal the light, not the material things.

The Zohar explains that when the soul enters the body, its light disappears. The reason for that is to give us the ability to control the left side (negativity, Selfishness, body consciousness) and reveal greater light. It is like planting wheat seeds in the ground. They disappear and dissolve in the ground but then, end up growing 100 times fold.

Maybe even clearer example is how a man and a woman connect together. Their minds are with joint consciousness (higher light) and they transfer this mind’s energy to seeds that get planted deep in the dark. The seeds disappear and a new creation is formed with the purpose to reveal light.

When the soul comes out in a new body, it comes with the desire to grow and absorb all the energy they can connect to.

The mother’s breast milk is the closest source to the light. The milk is naturally produced because of the desire of the new born. It is amazing how this fluid contains all the life force a baby needs for a year or more to grow.
Many mothers know that the amount of milk in their breasts depends on the desire of the child to draw more. When the child stops or slows down his consumption, the milk production behaves accordingly.

Another example that teaches us how the light is drawn to the vessel(desire) upon its existence can be found in Kings 2 chapter 4:6. The Oil (light) stopped when there were no more vessels to fill.
My mother, G-d bless her soul, breast fed 8 children of her own and 3 other babies (in different times) since their mother was not there or didn’t have milk. It was while she was breast feeding one of us. A woman has two breasts to be able to feed more than one child at a time.
It is known that mother’s milk is the best for the mental and physical health of a child. The child seeks the missing light when he gets placed in the body and gets disconnected from the greater light.
Sarah the Matriarch was of almost 100 years old when she breast fed many other babies (400) to prove all the people that she delivered and nurtured Isaac. That is why it is said in the Torah Genesis 21:7 “הֵינִיקָה בָנִים, שָׂרָה ” that “Sarah would be nursing children”. The reference is to children, in plural, not singular, because she had only one child.

As the soul grows, there gets to be a change in the process at age 12 for female, Bat Mitzvah and 13 for male, Bar Mitvzah. Another part of the soul joins the existing one and a biological change also takes place. A girl is now able to bring children to the world and fulfill the Mitzvah of be fruitful and multiply. A boy now carries his own correction. He has a new file and every action he does affects his soul and future.

Their soul now must work to reveal light in the world and follow the precepts (Mitzvoth, מצוות ). מצוה is the act of revealing light. The first two letters מצ in את־בש (At-Bash is a Kabbalistic method of Gematria) become “יה ”. The word מצוה (mitzvah) becomes the name of G-d,” יקוק ”.

There are 53 precepts mentioned in this parasha to connect us to the 53 portions of the Torah. Also in Hebrew it is גנ , which is abbreviation for the word reincarnation of the souls in Hebrew “גלגול־נשמות ”. גנ also means gene. The connection to the Torah affects our Genes and the reincarnation process.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night that you observe to do according to all that is written there; for then you shall make your ways prosperous, and then you shall have good success”.

After Moshe was gone and Joshua took over the leadership, G-d gave him his best advice “follow the Torah”. G-d did not tell him to pray or call on him. Just follow the Torah. Everything is in the Torah. This is where we can draw the light that we miss from the time we were with the Light and before we were pushed into the body. I say “pushed”, because the soul knows what is going to happen and it resists the separation from the Light and returning to a body.

When the soul leaves the body it travels toward the light. People with near death experience always tell the same story of “going through a tunnel” and at the end of it they see a great loving and comforting Light.
The “Tunnel” effect is the physical darkness surrounding the soul. When the soul reaches the end of the tunnel a complete separation from the body occurs and there is no turning back.

I know two people with such experience. Both have the same attitude and request towards death. They ask the people around them not to try and revive them if they are in a comma or similar state. They just want to go back to the Light they saw and felt.

Recently I was in Israel to sit Shiva for my mother and met a family friend who was in the hospital for over a year, hooked to a heart machine. They couldn’t find him a matching heart for all that time.
The one that they finally found had belonged to a famous 24 year old model that passed away very quickly due to a rare brain virus or disease. He was over 60 years when he got the new heart and now he is in great physical shape. Happy, smokes in chain and “enjoys life” as he says. When people ask him why he smokes, he answers that he doesn’t care to die. When he was in a coma state he saw his relatives and enjoyed a great time in the Light. It doesn’t matter to him that he can live a longer life with a perfect heart. He is a happy and fun person to be with.
I share this story with you not for you to start smoking and don’t care to die but to understand that being close to the light, gives you freedom. This where we came from and this is where we will return to.

Zohar Mishpatim holds one of the special sections with a lot of concealed secrets in it. This section’s name is Idra De Mishkanah, meaning, the “Assembly of the Tabernacle”. There is no mention of the known Tabernacle that held the Holy Ark. This section talks about the head, “The Head of the King”, the face, the hair, the eyes, the eye brows, forehead, nose, mouth and other related parts of the face. Then the Zohar talks about the Hebrew letters and the light related to them. This section is so hard to understand and even though Rabbi Ashlag in his translation and commentary to the Zohar, explains a lot on each part, it is still hard to understand. One thing obvious is that it talks about the dwelling (Tabernacle=Mishkan=dwelling place) of the soul in the body and the head is the king of the body. The face, “פנים ” in Hebrew and it also means Inner. The letters connect to the soul.

The Zohar reveals us that the Torah existed 2000 years before G-d decided to create the world. Then he created it while looking at the Torah. The Zohar says that the whole Torah is one holy name of G-d. If you take one letter out of it then you put a flaw in the Holy Name and transfer the Light to the other side.
We were with the Light, before creation that was done with the Hebrew letters of the Torah. That is why the Torah represents all our souls.

In Yitro, we received the Laws of the Torah. When we adhere to the Torah we complete our process in life and don’t need to reincarnate. Since we are not perfect, Mishpatim comes to explain the laws of reincarnation that is how to connect to the Light with every incarnation and how to set a perfect dwelling for the soul in the body. Our actions need to connect us to the Torah and draw the light to the soul.
The Letters of the Torah holds the light for our soul and it is the main source to draw the necessary light to sustain the soul in our body and make him happy to do the work assigned to him in this life.

We quoted the Zohar earlier that G-d created the world from looking at the Torah. We never had any doubts in the Zohar’s accuracy in every word it says but for the first time in 5768 years we have the scientific proof that the Zohar is absolutely correct. You can find it all in “The Divine Calendar” by Ezra (Jeff) Meiliken.

Next week is Parashat Terumah and we will read about the blue print and the process of building the actual Tabernacle. We are going there from the inner personal connection to the Light, out to the greater tool to draw light for the whole world.
Isn’t it so amazing and beautiful?
I’ll explain more on Terumah. Feel free to forward this article to any of your friends. Help them connect to the Torah and the Light. Give their soul a fresh breath of Light to help and strengthen them in their life process and work.

Zion Nefesh

Pinchas- Cause and Effect

G-d in (numbers 25:4) instructed Moshe on how to remedy the situation. Moshe follows the instruction and tell his judges to kill all the people that have joined with the "Baal Peor", the negativity. As I explained in commentary to Balak, the cause of negativity was that the sexual connection is at the level of the Sefirah of Yesod. It is the channel of the Light to this world. This negative join drained the Light of the Yisraelite toward the Malchut of the other side.

The cause: (numbers 25:1)

And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit harlotry with the daughters of Moab .

And Israel joined himself unto the Baal of Peor;

The effect: (numbers 25:3)
; וַיִּחַר-אַף יְהוָה, בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל. and the anger of the G-d was kindled against Israel

We see that the effect came immediately and in the same verse (25:3). We learn from that that there is always an effect that follows a cause.

That caused a plague. G-d did not create the plague. The people\’s action did. G-d and Moshe wanted to stop that.

Pinchas was a high soul and he saw the point where the Light was going toward the negative side. He saw what is going on in the spiritual levels, he saw the people dying because the Light was going away. He saw the spiritual body of the Israelite weakened through the channel of Yesod. He took a spear " רמח " and thrust both of them in the place where their body joined together.

" רמח ", numerical value of 248. This is the number of parts in the body. Rearranging the letters, gives us the Hebrew word for womb " רחם ", where the human body initially forms. And also has the meaning of mercy,

The sixth sefirah of Yesod is the last one of the six sefirot of Zeir Anpin, represented by the letter " ו ".

Pinchas stopped the negativity at the source by killing the leaders of the act with the right tool. He did not go to kill "bad people"; he repaired the corrupted channel, Yesod, of the Israelites and restored the light to their body (spiritual).

When looking at the Torah in Parshat Pinchas, we see that there is a small letter Yod in the name of Pinchas. The sages explain that the regular letters of the Torah are at the level of Zeir Anpin, The large letters connects to the level of Binah and the small letters connects to Malchut of Zeir Anpin.

The small Yod of Pinchas shows his connection to the ten sefirot of Light in Malchut.

Later we see a broken Vav at the word Shalom " שָׁלוֹם " (Numbers 25:12). Normally a broken letter in the Torah disqualify the Torah from use. In this case the letter has a gap that channels the Light that Pinchas reveal with his act.

The letters in the Torah are vessels, the carrier of light. Each letter is a defined light. The spaces in the Torah represent unrestricted Light. (That is why you can not touch the Torah with bare hands). The spaces reveal greater Light than the letters.

When a person goes up to the Torah he looks at the letters and read. There must be Eye Mouth Ear connection to draw and channel the light to the congregation. Even if a reader knows the Torah flawlessly by heart, he can not stand by the Torah and recite the verses without looking at the letters. The person that makes the Torah blessing must connect with his eyes to every word read in the Torah.

The letter Vav appears in the word Shalom " שָׁלוֹם ". The root of the word is " שלם ", which means completeness. Pinchas repaired the broken body of the Isrealite. He made it whole again.

There is also a new paragraph starts after the words " וַיְהִי, אַחֲרֵי הַמַּגֵּפָה " "and after the plague" ( Numbers 26:1 ). This space comes in the middle of the verse.

A new beginning took place after the plague. That space reveals a lot of Light.

" \’ Pinchas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned My wrath away from the children of Israel, in that he was very jealous for My sake among them, so that I consumed not the children of Israel in My jealousy ".

The English translation is for the story, not for the hidden Torah code. "Turned the wrath away", means that he stop the effect of their negative actions. " בְּקַנְאוֹ " is built from " ב " in " קַנְא " and " ו ". " קַנְא " has the numerical value of 151 = " מקוה ", cleansing and Vav. Simply to tells us that Pinchas purified the letter Vav, the channel.

G-d rewarded him with eternal priesthood. We know that Pinchas became Eliyahu Hanavie, Elijah the prophet, and he never died. He is always present (when invited) in the ceremony of "Brit" (circumcision) to help the new child remove the negativity and connect to the Light. It is called entering to the covenant of Avraham (numerical value = 248!).

Pinchas brought new life to the people of Yisrael. The Parasha mentions all the tribes, holidays and sacrifices. The light of this parasha is so strong that we read parts of it on a daily basis (more than once). Shabbat, Rosh Chodesh, and all major holidays.

The Zohar goes in length to describe the human body parts and the spiritual connection of each part.

The Kohen duty is to channel the Light to the people and heal them. Pinchas did the ultimate and gave us through this parasha Light to use everyday.

He will be the one, as Elijah, to announce the ultimate peace " מבשר שָׁלוֹם " with the coming of Mashiach, Today, Amen.

Matot Mas’ei – Man Woman – Light and Vessel

A man has the power to annul his daughter\’s or wife\’s vows but not his vows.

The reason for that is that a female is a vessel and a man is a channel for the Light. They are connected to his Light and If he hears his daughter or wife making a vow, it makes him part of the process. He can then deny channeling the Light from coming to the vessel.

" When a man make a vow unto the LORD, or swear or make an oath to bind his soul with a bond, he shall not break his word; he shall do according to all that proceeded out of his mouth "

This Shabbat we read the last two parasha of the book of Bamidbar. The book is at the level of Zeir Anpin, the light. Next Shabbat we start reading the fifth book, Deuteronomy, Devarim also called Mishneh Torah (repeated Torah) and it is in the level of Malchut, the manifestation level.

The word " דברים " comes from " דיבור ", "speaking". The Torah prepares us for the next step and teaches us the importance of our words. It is the tool we use to draw the Light.

The Zohar define humans as " מדבר ", one who speaks. This put us above all nature and closer to G-d.

They are connected to his Light and If he hears his daughter or wife making a vow, it makes him part of the process. He can then deny channeling the Light from coming to the vessel.

When the words come out of the mouth, the Light is formed to supply the energy to it. It is automatic. The man must follow his words because the Light comes immediately. If he doesn\’t, then that energy is taken by the other side and used for negativity.

A young female that still lives with her father is connected to his Light. A husband and wife got connected through marriage and the process of the seven blessings, "Kidushin" that forms a unit of male and female. The male controls the Light flow into the unit and therefore he can annul her vows.

A woman is at the Malchut level and her words can manifest without much work. Her desire (vessel) makes things happen. (It is easy to understand now the saying "behind a successful man, there is a successful or powerful wife").

In a true marriage, the husband feels strongly the power of his wife\’s desires; she can make or break the relationship.

The power of the vessel is like a magnet. Like a metal drawn to a magnet, the light is drawn to a vessel.

When her vows annulled, " וַיקוָק, יִסְלַח-לָהּ " the Light forgives her. The English translation hides the real spiritual process. The root word " סְלַח " =98= " צח ", means clean, pure. Because the man annulled her vow, she is not responsible for its fulfillment and the Light cleanses her.

If a man annulled the vow of his daughter or wife he takes the responsibility. (Numbers 30:16) " וְאִם-הָפֵר יָפֵר אֹתָם, אַחֲרֵי שָׁמְעוֹ–וְנָשָׂא, אֶת-עֲו‍ֹנָהּ " " But if he shall make them null and void after that he has heard them, then he shall bear her iniquity ".

Mas\’ei

The parasha deals with the 42 stations the yisraelites made in their journey to the Land of Yisrael .

The number 42 connects us to the beginning of the book of Genesis. This number represents the first 42 letters of the Torah and with them the whole world was created. This is the name of 42 or " מב־שמות ". We have the prayer of the "Ana B\’Koach" " אנא־בכח " to connect to its energy.

Before the "repeated Torah" of Deuteronomy, the Torah closes the circle and connects to the beginning.

Devarim – What G-d really wants from us

The book of Deuteronomy is the fifth (or the seventh! See commentary to Behalotcha ) and the last book of the Torah.
It is at the level of Malchut. Moshe begins his talk to the nation of Yisrael and "give them on the head". He scolds them for their behavior and disbelief in the G-d.

" " You would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of G-d "

" ו ַתֵּרָגְנוּ בְאָהֳלֵיכֶם, וַתֹּאמְרוּ, בְּשִׂנְאַת יקוָק אֹתָנוּ, הוֹצִיאָנוּ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם–לָתֵת אֹתָנוּ בְּיַד הָאֱמֹרִי, לְהַשְׁמִידֵנוּ "

"And you murmured in your tents, and said: \’Because G-d hated us, He brought us out of the land of Egypt , to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us"

And the effect was ( 1:34 , 35) " ו ַיִּשְׁמַע יקוָק, אֶת-קוֹל דִּבְרֵיכֶם; וַיִּקְצֹף, וַיִּשָּׁבַע לֵאמֹר "

" אִם-יִרְאֶה אִישׁ בָּאֲנָשִׁים הָאֵלֶּה, הַדּוֹר הָרָע הַזֶּה–אֵת, הָאָרֶץ הַטּוֹבָה, אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּעְתִּי, לָתֵת לַאֲבֹתֵיכֶם "

" And G-d heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and swore, saying " " \’surely there shall not one of these men, even this evil generation, see the good land, which I swore to give unto your fathers,"

Again and again they try to go away from G-d ( 1:41 , 42, 43) and then the results were ( 1:44 ).

When following the way of G-d, all obstacles, removed ( 2:32 , 33)

" וַיֵּצֵא סִיחֹן לִקְרָאתֵנוּ הוּא וְכָל-עַמּוֹ, לַמִּלְחָמָה–יָהְצָה " " Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, unto battle at Jahaz."

Then G-d help " וַיִּתְּנֵהוּ יקוָק אֱלֹהֵינוּ, לְפָנֵינוּ; וַנַּךְ אֹתוֹ וְאֶת-בָּנָו, וְאֶת-כָּל-עַמּוֹ ", " And G-d delivered him up before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people ".

Moshe knows that he will leave the world in 37 days and he want to give the nation the final lessons on how to see and trust G-d in order to win their enemies.

When a righteous person leave the world, all his spiritual work translated as Light stays in Malchut.

Today, the fifth of Av, is the hillulah (death anniversary of Rabbi Isaac Luria, "the Ari Hakadosh". We celebrate this day because of the great light the Ari reveal in the world.

His light created a cosmic signature that we can connect to every year. A holiday " חג ", in Hebrew means "circle". It is repeated every year. " שנה " is the root word for \’repeat\’ and also \’change\’.

As we know Malchut, the physical world doesn\’t have a light of its own. The light is revealed ONLY when we push it back, (you can not see your hand in the dark, unless the light reflects from it).

The book of Deuteronomy, " דברים " " משנה־תורה ", reflects and therefore reveals the light of the whole Torah.

Moshe in his words guide us to understand that we need to trust G-d so he can bless and do the work for us. (1:11) " יקוָק אֱלֹהֵי אֲבוֹתֵכֶם, יֹסֵף עֲלֵיכֶם כָּכֶם–אֶלֶף פְּעָמִים; וִיבָרֵךְ אֶתְכֶם, כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר לָכֶם " " The G-d of your fathers, make you a thousand times so many more as you are, and bless you, as He has promised you!– " and (1:30) "יקוָק אֱלֹהֵיכֶם הַהֹלֵךְ לִפְנֵיכֶם, הוּא יִלָּחֵם לָכֶם:  כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה אִתְּכֶם, בְּמִצְרַיִם–לְעֵינֵיכֶם. " " God who goes before you, He shall fight for you, according to all that He did for you in Egypt before your eyes \’

And (1:31) " ו ּבַמִּדְבָּר, אֲשֶׁר רָאִיתָ, אֲשֶׁר נְשָׂאֲךָ יקוָק אֱלֹהֶיךָ, כַּאֲשֶׁר יִשָּׂא-אִישׁ אֶת-בְּנוֹ–בְּכָל-הַדֶּרֶךְ אֲשֶׁר הֲלַכְתֶּם, עַד-בֹּאֲכֶם עַד-הַמָּקוֹם הַזֶּה " " and in the wilderness, where you has seen how that G-d carry you, as a man carry his son, in all the way that you went, until you came unto this place ".

The Ari writings on this parasha, talks about the 7 Edomite kings that are a kabalistic secret to the creation of the world and the process of correction and elevating the sparks of light from negativity to make the final correction of the world and to bring about Mashiach.

This is the essence of the parasha, to understand that distancing ourselves from the Light puts us in trouble and loss.

The Shabbat we read Devarim is called " שבת־חזון " because of the Haphtarah, which is from Isaiah 1, Isaiah brings the words of G-d about the behavior of the nation. He describes in harsh words how the people left the ways of G-d.

" " Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evil-doers, children that deal corruptly; they have forsaken the LORD, they have contemned the Holy One of Israel , they are turned away backward ".

Isaiah compares the nation\’s ways to the people of Sodom and Gomorrah . (Read Isaiah 1:9, 10).

" To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto Me? saith the LORD; I am full of the burnt-offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he-goats. "

"When ye come to appear before Me, who hath required this at your hand, to trample My courts?"

What G-d really wants from us?

"  רַחֲצוּ, הִזַּכּוּ–הָסִירוּ רֹעַ מַעַלְלֵיכֶם, מִנֶּגֶד עֵינָי:  חִדְלוּ, הָרֵעַ. " " לִמְדוּ הֵיטֵב דִּרְשׁוּ מִשְׁפָּט, אַשְּׁרוּ חָמוֹץ; שִׁפְטוּ יָתוֹם, רִיבוּ אַלְמָנָה "

" Wash you, make you clean, put away the evil of your doings from before Mine eyes, cease to do evil; " " Learn to do well; seek justice, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. "

In simple words, G-d doesn\’t want our prayers and sacrifices. If we are not good to each other then no matter how much we pray, G-d will ignore and won\’t listen to us.

This prophecy tells us exactly that the important is not the prayer, but the action.

There is a little story in the Zohar about two of the students of Rabbi Shimon that visited a house and the child that was a high soul didn\’t want to greet them because he felt that they didn\’t do their morning prayer. The two great rabbis said that the child is correct and that is because they were busy with helping someone.

This teaches us that the first priority is to help people. Prayers are important for us to draw the light of the creator and be able to help others. The reward of a Mitzvah is a Mitzvah. When we do good deeds, we have the merit and opportunity to do more of them.

When we pray, we should ask G-d to give us the opportunity to help others, to be smart in order to teach and guide others, to be rich and zillionaires because we want to create more jobs and sustenance for many people and families.

When we are all thinking about each other instead of the self then (Isaiah 1:27 )

" צִיּוֹן, בְּמִשְׁפָּט תִּפָּדֶה; וְשָׁבֶיהָ, בִּצְדָקָה "

I won\’t even put the English translation because it can never reveal the power of this verse.

" צִיּוֹן " is the Light that comes from the " יה " of Holy name through the " ו " (Yesod).

When we are with justice " בְּמִשְׁפָּט " (central column), " וְשָׁב "+ " יה " is the return of the supernal Chokmah and Binah to Malchut " בִּצְדָקָה ".

These five words of verse 27 with numeric value of 1600 have the secret of the coming of Mashiach. Today, Amen.
