Re’eh – I found the sons of God…

And you are one of them! Are you?

Before you treat me like a crazy person, please go to Deuteronomy 14:1 “You are the children of the LORD your God…”. The Hebrew words used are ” בָּנִים אַתֶּם, לַיקוָק אֱלֹהֵיכֶם” and there is no mistake when referring to “Sons”.

Remember that we are in the book of Deuteronomy, which is the last book of the Pentateuch and it represents Malchut, the level of manifestation. Since we are talking Torah here, the manifestation is revelation of the previous 4 books. Like the light of the sun traveling in space, you know it is there and can find many hints to its existence (Heat , Radiation etc..) but you won\’t see it until it is reflected from a material object.

The light of the whole Torah is revealed here by Moses. The book itself is also called “Mishneh Torah”, which means the “repeated Torah”.

The name of this portion is “Re\’eh” and it means “To see”. The numerical value is 206 and with the Kolel (adding 1 for the whole) = 207 = Light (אור) = Secret (רז). When we add the letter Yod we have ראיה = seeing and its numerical value is 216. This number represents the 72 names of God (216 letters) and the female aspect of the light in Malchut.

Now let\’s reveal the real secret of this verse. The whole verse says “You are the children of the LORD your God. Do not cut yourselves or shave the front of your heads for the dead”. This means a simple thing: “Death has nothing to do with the body”.

Ask any physicist about what happens to the body after death? Is it gone? He will answer you that the body is still in existence, just in a different form. The atoms of all people from the past are still traveling in space (don\’t look up to the sky) and you may even be inhaling the atoms of Abraham or Mozart or … at this moment.

The Zohar comments about this verse that we are the sons of God when we connect Chokmah (Aba = Father) and Binah (Ima = Mother). This connection to father and mother put us in the state of Son of God. This can be achieved when we act with consciousness above the material. When you read the parasha you find many examples on how to connect higher. I will bring just one example that demonstrates how much God gives us the opportunity to connect to him and get certified as “Son of God”.

In 15:7-10 God tells us to be generous and help the poor. In 15:11 we read “There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward those of your people who are poor and needy in your land.”, Again “There will ALWAYS be poor people in the land.”. God promises us an endless supply of poor people. When we see poor people we should not think that someone else will take care of them. We should do that willingly and with open heart. Only then you can have the God\’s blessings like a good son.

Connect to Father and Mother and start with your own parents. Treat them with all the respect and love  and not just because it is the fifth commandment; “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you” ,but because it is the closest connection you have to supernal Father (Chokmah) and supernal Mother (Binah). Give them a call and say you love them. If your parents passed away then share this article and/or the lesson of it with other people.

Devarim – The Vision – Past Present and Future

This Shabbat is called "Shabbat Chazon", (Shabbat of Vision). The name is after the prophecy that we read after this week\’s Torah reading.

It is the first chapter in Isaiah and also the first prophecy of the prophet that brings most of the final redemption prophecies. His name Isaiah means "God will redeem".

Here I bring you the actual chapter in English translation (NIV) and after each verse I\’ve added my explanation. I suggest you read each verse twice.

Isaiah 1

1 The vision concerning Judah and Jerusalem that Isaiah son of Amoz saw during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

         The vision of the future

 2 Hear, O heavens! Listen, O earth!

             For the LORD has spoken:
"I reared children and brought them up,
but they have rebelled against me.

Calling Heaven and Earth is like addressing the whole creation.

3 The ox knows his master,
       the donkey his owner\’s manger,
       but Israel does not know,
       my people do not understand."

In nature, an Ox knows his master and a donkey knows who feeds him. The people of Israel did not connect to the upper source of the light, Chokmah and Binah.

 4 Ah, sinful nation,
       a people loaded with guilt,
       a brood of evildoers,
       children given to corruption!
       They have forsaken the LORD;
they have spurned the Holy One of Israel
and turned their backs on him.

Not only they didn\’t draw the available Light from the Holy one; they transferred their light to negativity.

5 Why should you be beaten anymore?
Why do you persist in rebellion?
       Your whole head is injured,
       your whole heart afflicted.

         You reached a lower point.

6 From the sole of your foot to the top of your head
       there is no soundness–
       only wounds and welts
       and open sores,
       not cleansed or bandaged
       or soothed with oil.

 7 Your country is desolate,
       your cities burned with fire;
your fields are being stripped by foreigners
       right before you,
laid waste as when overthrown by strangers.

All the benefits that were available for you went to negativity.

8 The Daughter of Zion is left
like a shelter in a vineyard,
like a hut in a field of melons,
       like a city under siege.

The kingdom of the light (Malchut) left undesired.

 9 Unless the LORD Almighty
       had left us some survivors,
we would have become like Sodom,
we would have been like Gomorrah.

By the grace of God the Light kept flowing to sustain us.

10 Hear the word of the LORD,
       you rulers of Sodom;
listen to the law of our God,
       you people of Gomorrah!

To all the greedy ones and those who don\’t treat others with human dignity.

11 "The multitude of your sacrifices–
what are they to me?" says the LORD.
"I have more than enough of burnt offerings,
       of rams and the fat of fattened animals;
       I have no pleasure
in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats.

I\’ve had it with you! I don\’t need your offerings. You are trying to cover your evil actions with burnt offerings and I don\’t want them.

12 When you come to appear before me,
who has asked this of you,
       this trampling of my courts?

Who asked you to come and try to connect to me? Don\’t come with your pride to desecrate my Holy places.

 13 Stop bringing meaningless offerings!
Your incense is detestable to me.
       New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations–
I cannot bear your evil assemblies.

Stop all your offerings and prayers, I don\’t want them. Your Torah reading on Shabbat is rejected.  (Torah reading of Shabbat is the highest connection of the week and draws the most Light).

14 Your New Moon festivals and your appointed feasts
       my soul hates.
       They have become a burden to me;
I am weary of bearing them.

Your monthly blessings and holidays are full of selfishness and it makes me sick.

15 When you spread out your hands in prayer,
       I will hide my eyes from you;
even if you offer many prayers,
       I will not listen.
       Your hands are full of blood;

Don\’t even try to raise your hands in prayer. You will never reach higher levels. I don\’t want to hear you when you act with greed and selfishness.

16 wash and make yourselves clean.
       Take your evil deeds
       out of my sight!
       Stop doing wrong,

Cleanse yourself from negativity and stop your selfish desires.

 17 learn to do right!
       Seek justice,
       encourage the oppressed.
Defend the cause of the fatherless,
plead the case of the widow.

Seek the tree of life and the central column with the right actions.

18 "Come now, let us reason together,"
       says the LORD.
"Though your sins are like scarlet,
       they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
       they shall be like wool.

As I promised you, I will help you purify yourself.

19 If you are willing and obedient,
       you will eat the best from the land;

If you just open your desire for it I will bestow only good upon you.

20 but if you resist and rebel,
you will be devoured by the sword."
For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.

Your going away from the path is like a sword that will hurt you.

21 See how the faithful city
       has become a harlot!
       She once was full of justice;
righteousness used to dwell in her–
       but now murderers!

I gave you connection to the Tree of Life and now you let negativity have a strong hold on it.

22 Your silver has become dross,
your choice wine is diluted with water.

Your fake sharing acts are no longer accepted.

 23 Your rulers are rebels,
       companions of thieves;
       they all love bribes
       and chase after gifts.
       They do not defend the cause of the fatherless;
the widow\’s case does not come before them.

         Social structure is also corrupted.

24 Therefore the Lord, the LORD Almighty,
the Mighty One of Israel, declares:
"Ah, I will get relief from my foes
and avenge myself on my enemies.

It will come to the point where I will have to force the cleansing process.

 25 I will turn my hand against you;
I will thoroughly purge away your dross
       and remove all your impurities.

I won\’t stop until I remove all negativity.

26 I will restore your judges as in days of old,
your counselors as at the beginning.
       Afterward you will be called
       the City of Righteousness,
       the Faithful City."

I will restore the connection of Jerusalem to the upper levels and create continuous flow of the light to this world.

27 Zion will be redeemed with justice,
       her penitent ones with righteousness.

The upper channel of Yesod (6th sefirah) will hold the central column and will draw chokmah and Binah (Supernal Father and Mother) to all levels (7 sefirot) of the material world.

The reading from Isaiah ends at verse 27, in order to have a positive note and hope for the vision of the future.

Before he passes away from the world, Moses reveals God\’s promise to fight the final battle for us and remove all negativity.

The rest of Isaiah\’s prophecy (Isaiah 1:28-31) tells us that when God reveals himself to all and brings the light of redemption, all negativity and those who left the connection with God, will burn and cease to exists.

What do we need to learn from this message?

The prophecy teaches us that if we are not good to each other (verse 16, 17), there are no open door to God.

Before we do any "religious" or "spiritual" ritual, there is one important and simple rule. Treat each other with human dignity with love and without any personal agenda.

If you see a person in need on the way to your Temple, Church, Mosque or Synagogue, remember that God want you to be good to others BEFORE you come to him.

If you are late to the service because you helped others, God will look at you like a father is proud of his child\’s achievement. Don\’t hurt anybody, don\’t cheat and don\’t lie, especially to yourself. If you still have negativity to cleanse and you find yourself in a place of worship, have a simple prayer from the bottom of your broken heart. "God, please help me clean my act, help me love others like myself". Just repeat it again and again and again and again until you feel the light comes in. (I did it myself countless times in the past until I felt no more anger or hate toward others). Only then I took a prayer book into my hands.

One bad apple…

God is telling Moses to inform the children of Israel that they are about to enter the Land that he chose for them as inheritance.  God gives specific instructions to remove and destroy the inhabitants of the Land with all their idols and places of worship.

What is the connection? Why should they suffer? They didn\’t do anything bad. Where is the sin (cause) to bring a punishment (effect)?

וְהָיָה, כַּאֲשֶׁרדִּמִּיתִי לַעֲשׂוֹת לָהֶם–אֶעֱשֶׂה לָכֶם

Numbers 33:55 But if you do not drive out the inhabitants ofthe land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thornsin your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live.

Numbers 33:56 And then I will do to you what I plan to do tothem.\’"

God is telling Moses to inform the children of Israel that they are about to enter the Land that he chose for them as inheritance.  God gives specific instructions to remove and destroy the inhabitants of the Land with all their idols and places of worship.

God is specific, "this is your land and you can divide itamong yourselves". Then comes verse 33:55 (above), which we can easily understand. If we leave some of them in the land, they can cause trouble. It makes complete sense. But when we come to 33:56 (above), it doesn\’t make much sense. Here God is saying that whatever he planned to do to them, will be done to the Israelites.

What is the connection? Why should they suffer? They didn\’t do anything bad. Where is the sin (cause) to bring a punishment (effect)?

This is a point where we should understand the reason forthe whole creation. God made this world for us with a perfect system of cause and effect. On the Seventh day, God turned on the main switch and the world started running on the basic principles of cause and effect. God is the system.God is in every Atom of existence, ready to empower every desire that we have.We can do good or bad with that force, it is our choice.

In verse 33:56 the Torah teaches us that if we leave room for negativity, it will invade every part of our existence, the eyes represent the consciousness and the sides are our outer existence.

The Hebrew text explains the effect deeper than the simple English translation. It uses the root word "image", like in "\’Letus make man in our image". This is the process of evolution fromspiritual to material. When the chaos is the manifestation of the forces of negativity,if we let it stay in our dwelling then we will have chaos as well.

"One bad apple spoils the barrel"

Get rid of negativity from yourself and your environment. Aslong as you fight it out you\’ll be in good shape, but if you give up and let itin, chaos will rain.

Bees and Numbers….What a crazy thought?

Bamidbar, numerical value 248, (Literal translation is "in the wilderness") is named "Numbers" because it deals with the counting of the Israelites.

From the whole Torah aspect, this book(s) is the level of Zeir Anpin (=6 Sefirot of Chessed, Gevura, Tiferet, Netzach, Hod and  Yesod). Many Kabbalists consider it as three books. (Read my commentary of Behalotcha).

Zeir Anpin is also the Light force of the Creator in our world. You can refer to it as "the Space", which is everything inside and outside us.

Last week we finished the reading of Leviticus, which is the level of Binah. The first three books are Keter Chokmah and Binah. They relate to the Head, the cause and the potential.

With Bamidbar we are starting to form the body; manifestation and creation of the vessel.  Zeir Anpin is represented with the letter Vav of the Holy name (the tetragramaton). Human, according to Kabbalah is defined as "מדבר" (Hebrew for one who speaks).

Bamidbar has the same letters as in medaber "מדבר". The first two letters are abbreviations for "Ma\’ase Bereshit", which means act of creation and are numerically equal to 42. The one who speaks has the power to bring new formations to "reality" (whatever we see as reality).

Now here are some excerpts from the internet related to the vanishing phenomena of Bees. Please note that Bees in Hebrew ="דבורים" and is the same root as Bamidbar.

A Cornell University study has estimated that honeybees annually pollinate more than $14 billion worth of seeds and crops in the United States, mostly fruits, vegetables and nuts. "Every third bite we consume in our diet is dependent on a honeybee to pollinate that food," said Zac Browning, vice president of the American Beekeeping Federation.

"There is a syndrome called Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD)," Koptur said. "It appears that the bees get disoriented and they go out foraging, collecting nectar from flowers, but on the way back they get lost and do not return to the nest. Without the food, larvae die and the colony collapses."

The collapse and destruction of bee hives could have widespread negative effects on mankind. Bees are extremely vital to the economy.

"Honey production is worth just $200 million a year, but bees pollinate $15 billion worth of fruit, vegetables and nuts, especially the $2 billion almond business," reported The Economist in April 2007.

There has been evidence suggesting bees are dying due to pathogens raised in conditions caused by humans. Among the clues pointing to a possible disease according to the FDA is "the sting gland of many examined bees that were obviously scarred with distinct black "marks." This type of pin-point darkening is indicative of an immune response to some sort of pathogen." Even the queens are infected since "in addition to their sting glands, evidence of Melanosis was found in the ovaries of infected queens. These queens were superseded by colonies. Subsequent research has documented damage to hypo pharyngeal glands of worker bees."

There is a cause and effect system and it is working no matter what. The Ether waves are full of people\’s conversation, speaking negatively.

Last month, the father of chaos theory, Edward Lorenz, passed away. He was well known for his paper "Predictability: Does the Flap of a Butterfly\’s Wings in Brazil Set Off a Tornado in Texas?"

Let me add something before that; "Does the vapor of a person speaking, makes a butterfly, flap his wings?"

The question is "Are we responsible for the vanishing bees?", Are we responsible for the tsunamis?, Are we responsible for the cyclones? , Are we responsible for the earthquakes?, Are we responsible for the Tornadoes? (California?!), Are we responsible for airborne diseases?

Stay positive, no matter what. When the weather and nature around us, gets "crazy", we need to be calm.

Remember Mahatma Gandhi? With the power of speak, he pushed away the entire forces of the British Empire out of India.

Spread positivity and love, maybe we can push away some negativity.

Naso – Rabbi Shimon cried…

In Zohar Naso we have the Idra Raba. In the beginning of the Idra rabba we read that Rabbi Shimon sat down and cried. There are many places in the Zohar that tell us about his cries. Rabbi Shimon was a Tana (a spiritual leader that is able to control nature and resurrect from the dead).

Then why does he cry?

Then why does he cry?

Crying is one of the highest spiritual connections. It relates to the level of Chokmah, where pure light exists. Touching it directly can turn the connection to negative. It is the left column, the essence of desire. The light of Chokmah broke the original vessels and embedded the desire and formed the vessels as we know them now. I can\’t go into deeper explanation, because it is not the subject I want to reveal in this article, just for you to understand that the universe is inside a circle of e xisten ce. (The secret of Pi (3.1459…), Binah is the ream and chokmah is connected to the Ein Sof (the endless, àéï ).

When a person cries in the process of connecting to the Light of the Creator he may reach the level of Chokmah. That is why it is said that the gates of tears are never closed.

Many can cry in their prayers, but it relates to their physical pain or for something that they are missing. Very few, if any, can break through the spiritual curtains with their tears.
Selfish reasons attach gravity to the spiritual tears and they cannot ascend to open the supernal gates of the endless to draw light to fulfill the vessel.

There is a way to reach the endless and draw everything that we need. The way is described in the parasha of Naso and is demonstrated by Rabbi Shimon and his students in the Idra Rabba.
We read in Naso that the heads of the 12 tribes brought offerings to the altar in the Tabernacle. Immediately after that Moses came into the Tab ernacl e and he could hear the voice speaking to him from above the Ark cover.

We see that the Torah relates to both events together. These 12 offerings activated of the Ark. One important thing to know is that all 12 offerings were exactly the same. The learning here is unity of the whole system.

In the Zohar, Rabbi Shimon sat and cried, gathered his students close to him and announced them that "All depends on love". They were all in total unity and were able to create the vessel for Rabbi Shimon to draw the Light of the deeper secrets of the Spiritual system. Their connection was so high that they could hear angels around them and when Rabbi Shimon started talking and revealing the secrets the whole place shook.

We should include a wish in our prayers for the gathering of all 12 tribes in the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. Squeeze an honest tear or two to re-activate the flow of the Light of the Creator and remove all darkness form this world, Today Amen.

Behalotcha – The gate of Mashiach.

This article may be somewhat cryptic to many people. I pray that you will understand some of it but in any case, the fact that you read this article will connect your soul to that place which I am revealing here.
Zohar Beha\’alotcha talks about two Messiahs, Mashiach ben David and Mashiach ben Efraim. The first is the right column and the sefirot of Chokmah, Chessed and Netzach, The second is Left column and sefirot of Binah, Gevurah and Hod.

Moshe is sefirat Da\’at (knowledge), (a sefirat that appears when Chokmah and Binah are connected). The Zohar tells that Moshe (named in the Zohar as Raya Meheimnah, which is Aramaic for "the Faithful shepherd"), holds both columns and all aspects of the middle column (Keter, Da\’at, Teferet and Yesod) are connected to him.
There are two special verses in Beha\’alotcha, (Numbers 10:35-36) that are separated from the other parts of the Torah by two reversed and upside down "נ" letters.  Most kabbalists consider those two verses as a separate book in the Torah. This makes the Torah have seven books altogether.

The first verse has 12 words, like the last verse of the Torah and the second verse has 7 words like the first verse of the Torah. There is a cross hold. The first verse has the word "ובנחה" numerical value 71 but the Torah reader is instructed to read it as "ובנחו", numerical value of 72. The pronunciation is exactly the same but the energy revealed is totally different.

The beginning and end are tied together here.  We can see the two hands holding the Torah together. The two letters of "Nun" are like walls. From one side of the two verses we see the right column, the presense of the light of the Creator (numbers 10:34) and the other side in the beginning of a new chapter, the nation with their complaints, their selfish desires and death (Numbers 11:1).
Within every 72 hours, we need to read from the Torah. This happens on Monday, Thursday, Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon.

Before the reading of the Torah, a special process is taken place. A person goes to the Ark (where the Torah scroll is placed), hold the doors or curtain with both hands and open. At this point, the congregation begins to recite the first of the two special verses.

Whenever the ark set out, Moses said, "Rise up, LORD!
May your enemies be scattered; may your foes flee before you."

The Scroll is taken out for reading.  After the reading, the Ark is opened again and the Torah is put back to its place. This time we recite the second special verse.

"וּבְנֻחֹה, יֹאמַר:  שׁוּבָה יְהוָה, רִבְבוֹת אַלְפֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל"

Whenever it came to rest, he said, "Return, LORD,
to the countless thousands of Israel."

And add a verse from the end of Lamentation, 5:21.

"הֲשִׁיבֵנוּ יְהוָה אֵלֶיךָ ונשוב (וְנָשׁוּבָה), חַדֵּשׁ יָמֵינוּ כְּקֶדֶם"

Restore us to yourself, LORD, that we may return; renew our days as of old

When we check the first letter of the name of all the sefirot we get the numerical value of 546 which is exactly "ישראל" 541+5 (1 for each letter of the word "ישראל"). The last three words of the Torah are
"לְעֵינֵי כָּל-יִשְׂרָאֵל" "in the sight of all Israel". The first letter of the three words spelled "כלי" (vessel). The last letters "ללי" numerical value 70.
The vessel is the two verses in Numbers 10:35-36. The light is what is concealed inside the seven books of the Torah.

When all Israel (all 12 tribes) comes together as one and connect to the Torah, Mashiach will be revealed (ביהשמו).  The two special (reversed) Nuns (נ) will drop and the Light of the Holy Ark will spread throughout the whole seven books of the Torah. The 19 (12+7) words will tie together the beginning and end of the Torah, closing the circle and flood existence with the light that awaits us from the day of creation.
Let us pray that this day is coming today, Amen.

Shelach Lecha – What was the real crime of the spies?

The parasha tells us the famous story of the twelve spies that Moshe sent to spy on the Promised Land. Those twelve were heads of the tribes, not regular people.
The question that comes to mind is why send spies to check the land?

Shelach Lecha – What was the real crime of the spies?

וַיִּקְרָא מֹשֶׁה לְהוֹשֵׁעַ בִּן-נוּן, יְהוֹשֻׁעַ.
And Moses called Hoshea the son of Nun Joshua.

The parasha tells us the famous story of the twelve spies that Moshe sent to spy on the Promised Land. Those twelve were heads of the tribes, not regular people.
The question that comes to mind is why send spies to check the land?

They just got out of slavery of over 200 years in Egypt, great miracles, receiving the Torah, seeing the presence of G-d on a daily basis with the guiding Cloud during the day and pillar of fire at night. Why go and spy on the land now? Any land to settle down should be good for them.

The real reason is that G-d and Moshe wanted them to make their first free choice to connect to the Land of Israel. Up until now they were taken out of Egypt and followed Moshe in the wilderness, without much free choice.

Now coming closer to the Land of Milk and Honey, the land where they will spend the rest of their lives, is a different story. G-d wants to give them a gift, the gift of free choice. G-d tells Moshe (Numbers 13:2) to pick one head of each tribe and send them "שְׁלַח-לְךָ אֲנָשִׁים, וְיָתֻרוּ אֶת-אֶרֶץ כְּנַעַן", the word used here is "יָתֻרוּ ", which is numerical value of 616 = "התורה ", The Torah, The land of Israel is the connection to the Torah, Zeir Anpin.

The Idea was to let them see the land connect to its energy and make a choice to settle in it.

A little lesson for sales people and parents; if you want to "sell" your stuff or ideas to your customers or children, allow them to choose from your selected choices. Do not say "Take this" or "This is the best for you… Trust me…" it won\’t work until they decide by themselves. Ask them the questions that you know the answer for. When their mind answers the question it is theirs. They own the decision and the channel is open for more communications.

Let us examine the story closely. First G-d wanted Moshe to pick the heads of the tribes, so there would be strong leadership presence without a doubt. They were supposed to come back with positive experience and lead their people into the land.

Moshe continues and gives them hints to what to look for and find. When he guides them to what to look for "מָה הָאָרֶץ", he refers to the word "מָה" as Zeir Anpin, the numerical value is 45 and it is equal to the name of G-d "יקוק" in the spelling of "הא ואו הא יוד " , which represents Zeir Anpin, The Light. The Zohar says that the Torah, the People of Yisrael and G-d are one. The leaders needed to connect to the Land and the Light as channeled through the land of Yisrael.

Moshe also tells them to check "הֲיֵשׁ-בָּהּ עֵץ אִם-אַיִן" if there is a tree "עֵץ" or not "אַיִן". The word tree refers to the tree of life.

The leaders of the tribes went to the land for forty days (like the number of days Moshe went up to Mount Sinai to connect and bring the Torah). They came back with bad news "Yes, it is the land of milk and honey and here is the fruit but, "אפס" (means Zero) the people of the land are giants and…
Like in all good lies they started with some truth, like the snake when he came to Eve with temptation to connect to the Tree of Knowledge, good and bad. She later excused herself saying (Genesis 3:12) "וַתֹּאמֶר, הָאִשָּׁה, הַנָּחָשׁ הִשִּׁיאַנִי, וָאֹכֵל", "The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.\’". The word "הִשִּׁיאַנִי " contains the words "הֲיֵשׁ" and "אַיִן \’, there is or there isn\’t. That represents the doubts of the people with the Light.
In (Exodus 17:7) "וְעַל נַסֹּתָם אֶת-יְהוָה לֵאמֹר, הֲיֵשׁ יְהוָה בְּקִרְבֵּנוּ, אִם-אָיִן." "Because of the striving of the children of Israel, and because they tried the LORD, saying: \’is the LORD among us, or not?\’"

Moshe is giving the leaders of Yisrael an opportunity to correct their previous negativity (Exodus 17) and even the ability to correct the disconnection from the Tree of Life that Adam and Eve caused in the first sin and brought mortality to the world.
They needed to find the Tree of Life and connect to it with certainty. Unfortunately, they made a horrible mistake and drew a picture that brought fear and death to the nation. That was the third time they had the opportunity to have the ultimate connection but failed. First were Adam and Eve. Second was the Sin of The Golden Calf, before the ultimate connection to the Torah. And now the 10 leaders missed again.

Caleb tried to silence them and said that it is not true and they can go immediately and posses the land but the nation didn\’t listen to him and Joshua. They went to Moshe and told him (Numbers 14:2) " וַיִּלֹּנוּ עַל-מֹשֶׁה וְעַל-אַהֲרֹן, כֹּל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל ; וַיֹּאמְרוּ אֲלֵהֶם כָּל-הָעֵדָה, לוּ-מַתְנוּ בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם, אוֹ בַּמִּדְבָּר הַזֶּה, לוּ-מָתְנוּ" ,They used these words twice :"\’Would that we had died" "לוּ-מַתְנוּ ". In (Numbers 14:4) "they said one to another: \’Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.\’".

We are still under that effect of disconnection from the Light. That day was the Ninth of Av, The most negative day in the history of the Jewish nation. The two Holy Temples were destroyed by foreign powers. The Spanish Inquisition started the program to kill or convert Jews. Hitler revealed his plan to annihilate the Jews on that day. And better not to look for more examples.

Moshe and Aharon fell on their face and Caleb and Joshua tore their clothes. They realized what happened and what is going to happen.

The first sin of the Snake and Eve started with evil tongue and G-d never forgave this one.
They had to pay one year for every day they were inside Yisrael. The whole generation had to die in the wilderness before having the second opportunity to come back to the Promised Land.
Because they were leaders of the people, the effect of their action was deep and created "בכיה-לדורות" "Crying for generations to come".

Today we see many leaders that are motivated by their personal agenda. They will use evil tongue to be elected and lead people to their death with lies; they make wars for no reason, except their own. They lead by placing imaginary fear in people\’s heart that the other nation is a great risk to their existence.
They talk about peace and send fire to calm fire.
Have you see a fireman who goes to put out fire with fire?
Water is the energy of mercy; the Light is the energy of mercy and that is the energy needed to make peace. Moshe used the thirteen attributes of G-d to connect to unity and love and save the people from immediate death.

Whatever we call "The wrath of G-d" is actually the effect of our actions. When the Torah says "Eye for an Eye…" is for us to learn that we suffer the consequences of our actions. The spies did not want to enter the land and lose their leadership and they said (Numbers 14:2) "לוּ-מַתְנוּ בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם, אוֹ בַּמִּדְבָּר הַזֶּה, לוּ-מָתְנוּ ." "\’Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! Or would we have died in this wilderness!" And that\’s exactly what they got back in return. Death in the in 1920 and said that they have a great idea

The Great Rabbi Ashlag, of blessed memory, "Baal Hasulam" commented on Communism of community and are sharing resources, but they will not hold more than 70 years because they are not connected or involved with the Light in their action.
He passed away before seeing how right and accurate he was. He didn\’t even need a proof. It is a law of nature.

All leaders have the great responsibility of leading their people with love, unity and connection to the Light. All other options are chaos and death.

Korach – What is the wrath of G-d?

The title of this article is "What is the wrath of G-d?". It is a serious question that most believers and non-believers in G-d thought about more than one time.

G-d is described as merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth. In other places G-d shows "Anger" and wishes to kill or destroy the nation.

To understand this article you need to know about the space. Read the following article here: http://rabbishimoncom/index.cfm/feature/91_3

G-d created and gave us this world "To Make" (Genesis 2:3). We can make whatever we want with it. The "Space" is the building material. With our words we gather the energy to produce what we want.

When we use words that go against the natural system, we corrupt the space and negativity erupts.

This is what happened when Korach and his group came to complain to Moshe for selfish reasons.

The space was corrupted and the light force that holds everything together had to clear the corruption. In Numbers 16:21 G-d (YHVH aka "The Space") notifies Moshe that the effect is about to happen and asks him and Aharon to separate themselves from the others so nothing will happen to them.

Wait a minute… Can\’t G-d "Punish" the "sinners" and keep Moshe and Aharon safe?

The answer is simple. The negativity had corrupted the space and a cleansing process was about to take place. Whoever was found in the space where negativity occurred could get affected by the cleansing process.

We learn how important it is to choose the right environment from that example. If we come across negativity and we can not stop it before it affects the space then we should separate ourselves from that space as soon as possible.

Chukat – Watch it!

And Moses made a serpent of brass, and set it upon the pole; and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked unto the serpent of brass, he lived.

Please close your eyes for a moment and tell me what you see…

No, I am not stupid; I know that you can\’t see any object if your eyes are closed. Now I want you to close your eyes again and IMAGINE something….

Did you see anything? Obviously you can and without any limitations. You can fly over mountain tops, build castles and ride a unicorn in the sky.

Did you imagine important events from your past?

Is it imagination or a "Real" thing? Soon you will "see" that imagination is real.

How do we see?

(The paragraph below is a short segment from an article By: Diane M. Szaflarski, Ph.D. , The National Health Museum, http://www.accessexcellence.org/AE/AEC/CC/vision_background.php)

Vision is a process that requires several components of the human eye and brain to work together. The first step of this amazing sense is happening in the retina of the eye. The photoreceptor neurons in the retina collect the light and send signals to a network of neurons that then generate electrical impulses that go to the brain. The brain then processes those impulses and gives information about what we are seeing. In this unit we will investigate the initial steps in the process of vision. We will discover how the photoreceptors work, and will specifically examine at the photoreceptor proteins to learn how light energy is converted into electrical energy. Additionally, we will examine some of the current studies that are helping to further our understanding of the proteins involved in the vision process.

(Bold text by me)

(Numbers 21:9)
And Moses made a serpent of brass, and set it upon the pole; and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked unto the serpent of brass, he lived.

To understand the Torah we get help from the scientists.
We read earlier that the process of vision is a transformation of light into electrical pulses that hit the brain. The brain "processes" the information and generates an image (that\’s the process of IMAGINATION).

Each time we see something, our brain gets "electrocuted". This process is a connection to the level of Chokmah (Wisdom, right brain). Here, the light is pushed in and activated the process of Binah (Understanding, left brain). When the two are connected we experience the energy level of Da\’at (Knowledge, Brain Stem and spinal cord). The later is responsible to carry the message for the whole body.

Now, what is the connection to the verse above?
The healing system that G-d instructed Moses to create was totally dependent on eye sight.

We learn from this that our eyes are powerful tools that can draw specific energy and it can affect our material being. In the wilderness, all they needed was to look at the copper snake to be healed. The light that was reflected from the copper snake generated brain waves that activated a force of healing.

All of us have experienced how a short look can make a small or huge change in the body. You can throw up from looking at something "disgusting" or your stomach can growl when you see a food that you love.
The heart starts beating faster to the sight of something exciting. People get a heart attack from a short look of a scary figure. People jump out of their sick bed upon a visit of a loved one. You can take it farther and farther to realize how powerful this principal is.

You can create a totally new life just by proper use of your eyes and brain. If you can\’t go to the beach to experience the calmness of the water, close your eyes and take yourself there. The process is as powerful as actually going to the sea.

As a proof, just think about an exciting event in the past, close your eyes and try to re-live the moment. As you build the scene in your mind you can start feeling the same thing you experienced at that event in the past. (Please re-live positive events, the bad ones are easy to come and re-experience).

It is all in the brain. Positive thinking is taught by many teachers to achieve success in life.
I will add that, in order to manifest your desire for good health, sustenance and relationships, you need to build a vivid picture in your mind to activate the process of material manifestation.
Avoid all kind of negative sight, build positive imagery in your mind of what you want to achieve and the power of G-d inside of you will materialize in "the space" around you.

So from now on, you need to "Watch it!"

Pinchas – I am not important! Are you?

In order to understand this article deeply, please read last year’s article http://rabbishimon.com/index.cfm/feature/23_4 . (Its not old stuff or a daily news article, it is good until Mashiach is here.) and the commentary for Balak http://rabbishimon.com/index.cfm/feature/147_4

לָכֵן, אֱמֹר:  הִנְנִי נֹתֵן לוֹ אֶת-בְּרִיתִי, שָׁלוֹם.

The background story is that Balak and Balaam tried to destroy the nation of Israel. They wanted to separate the Israelites from the light of the creator using the spiritual method of curses.
They couldn’t achieve that so they decided to drain their energy by seducing them to have sex with Midianite women. They succeeded and the Light was going away from the nation. Darkness invaded and the effect was a deadly plague.
Pinchas realized the real cause of the plague and jumped to correct the situation.

He didn’t think of himself or consulted his father, the high priest or Moses for advice. He grew up to follow the great line of his family. His father, the high priest, his grandfather, Aharon, the man of peace and his two uncles, Nadav and Avihu, who sacrificed their lives to bring final redemption before time and allow us a higher connection to the Light of the Creator.

His level of dedication to protect the people elevated him closer to the endless light.
When the negative action was happening, Pinchas saw the drainage of light going from the good side of the tree to the bad side of it.

All his essence was “I am not important”; “I am here to draw the light to the people and remove negativity from the world”.
He had the Tree of Life consciousness, selflessness and unconditional love. Pinchas didn’t have a consciousness of killing the people that caused the negativity; he just did whatever was needed to stop it.

By drawing the highest light of the endless to stop the negativity, he had to die and because he revealed the light of the endless, he couldn’t die.

Following is an explanation to this “paradoxical” situation.
We know that when a righteous person dies, all the light that was generated from his positive actions during his life remains in this world.

Pinchas tapped into the light of the Tree of Life with his action. It could’ve brought the final redemption and the final peace, before we could really earn it. Therefore, Pinchas died and at the same time got reincarnated with the two souls of his uncles, Nadav and Avihu, who both acted selflessly in order to bring the final redemption.
Pinchas, didn’t think through or had any personal agenda. He knew one thing, he was not important. He was there to make the connection and draw the light for others.
He did what was needed to be done. He stopped negativity that could’ve destroyed the whole world.

Remember, God created the world for us to make. If we lose the balance and negativity takes over the light, a total destruction will happen.

God testifies to the great act that Pinchas did. (Numbers 25:11) “הֵשִׁיב אֶת-חֲמָתִי מֵעַל בְּנֵי-יִשְׂרָאֵל”, has turned my wrath away from the children of Israel.

The law of attraction is implemented here automatically. Pinchas behaved like the Creator and created affinity with the light at the highest level, the endless light.
God was so happy to be “stopped” and rewarded Pinchas with eternal priesthood and appointed him to be the “keeper of the covenant”. The “ברית”, covenant, is the first revelation and connection of God and Abraham.  “Peace”, "שלום", is referred in this case to the Final redemption and final peace.
The Zohar discusses a conversation between God and Moses about giving Pinchas the control over Malchut. As we know there is a small letter Yod “י” added to Pinchas’s name (Numbers 25:11). This letter represents Malchut. Here is the discussion that is translated from Zohar;
“…At that time God thought what should I do with Moses. The covenant came from Moses and the bride, which is Malchut, belongs to him. It is not nice to give her, the Malchut, to another, without the knowledge and will of Moshe. It is not proper.
The Holy one Blessed be He, started saying to Moses, Moses, “Pinchas, the son of Elazar, the son of Aharon the priest”. Moses replied, Master of the Universe, what is it? The Holy One told him, you are the one that gave his soul for the Israelites several times, so they should not be gone from this world. And Pinchas returned my wrath away from the children of Israel…and Moses answered, “What do you want from me? Everything is yours and if you want to give him control over Malchut, who would tell you what to do?”
The conversation continues and I just wanted to bring up two points here. One is that God had to give Pinchas control over Malchut. Second is Moses’s reaction. He could already move between worlds, see God and People, but he still thought to himself, “I am not important!” what do you want from me, God? Do whatever you want.

Bottom line, Pinchas has it all. He never died; he is Elijah, the prophet. He has the ability to move between worlds, like Moses. Elijah appears (when asked) in every “Brit” (circumcision ceremony), to protect the connection between the people and covenant.  Elijah will announce the coming of Mashiach and the final redemption.
When Rabbi Shimon and his son were hiding in the cave and study Kabbalah, they had two visitors only, Moses and Elijah. The two most “unimportant” people in human history.

Are you important?
