Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison; and Rebecca loved Jacob

Isaac is the left column, he represents the desire (for the light).Esau expressed this desire in the material world and created affinity with Isaac on that level. Love is the same word as equality and oneness in the Torah. Rebecca loved Jacob because she was Malchut (female energy) and he was pure and represented the central column (the channel of the light).

To connect to the energy of Isaac and draw his blessings, a material connection is required. Isaac instructed his first son to go for a hunt and bring it to him. Genesis 27:3, 4 “וְעַתָּה שָׂא-נָא כֵלֶיךָ, תֶּלְיְךָ וְקַשְׁתֶּךָ; וְצֵא, הַשָּׂדֶה, וְצוּדָה לִּי, צידה (צָיִד). ” “go out to the field with your weapons and hunt…. and make me savory food, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless you before I die.”

Here lies a secret on how to draw the Light into our lives. First we have to work for our food, then let go of it in order to create a space for the light to come in.

In simple terms, open your desire to have the material things but do not stop there. Share it, because when you do so you connect with the original thought of creation “to benefit others”. That creates affinity with the Light and allows it to flow into your life

Now Rebecca knew that Esau was not fit to handle and channel the blessing of his father. This blessing was supposed to affect the continuation of the coming generations and Jacob was the right channel for this light.

Rebecca commanded him to follow her instructions.

Genesis 27:8, “וְעַתָּה בְנִי, שְׁמַע בְּקֹלִי–לַאֲשֶׁר אֲנִי, מְצַוָּה אֹתָךְ” “Now therefore, my son, listen to my voice according to that which I command you“.

Jacob was a “good boy” and didn’t want to lie to his father but Rebecca did everything to keep Jacob pure of  ’sins’ and she took it under herself “וַתֹּאמֶר לוֹ אִמּוֹ, עָלַי קִלְלָתְךָ בְּנִי; אַךְ שְׁמַע בְּקֹלִי, וְלֵךְ קַח-לִי ” “And his mother said to him: ‘Upon me be your curse, my son; only listen to my voice, and go fetch me them.”

Jacob was destined to continue the line of Abraham and Isaac. He knew what his work was before coming to the world. He let Esau come out first to remove the negativity attached to every first born (from the first sin). He bought the blessings before Isaac was ready to give them. Genesis 25:30,31,32 “וַיֹּאמֶר, יַעֲקֹב:  מִכְרָה כַיּוֹם אֶת-בְּכֹרָתְךָ, לִי. “, “And Jacob said: ‘ First sell me your birthright.’“. Birthright in Hebrew is “בְּכֹרָתְךָ” spelled as “בִּרְכָתֶךָ ” “your blessing”. When Esau sold Jacob his birthright he also sold him his blessing. Jacob did a “Kosher deal” and Esau left to his fault.

Esau’s lesson teaches us not to fall into immediate gratifications, which distruct us from the real purpose and work in life, the Light and the continuation process.

Jacob established the channel for the central column. And brought balance to the world. His sons came from that pure seed and they were all great spiritual forces. Each of them represents one of the 12 energies of the year (The Zodiac).

G-d was waiting for the right people to connect to him and draw more light to the world. Like in physical light, all you need to is to remove the blockage from its path.

Rachel was on a higher level and after she died, Reuben knew that if his father connects to Bilha, it would not be the same as with Rachel or His mother, Leah.

When Rachel gave Bilha to Jacob she used her as a tool to bring children for herself. The consciousness is the actual control of the connection between a man and a woman.

A couple should always conceal their place and time of connection. When done it should be in total darkness (to disconnect from the material world around and to have better influence of their consciousness into the act.). A women counts seven \’clean\’ days after her monthly cycle is finished. On the eighth day she goes to the Miqveh (ritual immersing in water for spiritual cleansing). That night she bonds with her husband to make the Mitzvah of " פרו־ורבו " "be fruitful and multiply".

This act is very important; the vessel (egg) in the woman is ready to receive the light (seed of the man). The seed is caledl " זרע " = 277 in Hebrew and is built from " רז " = " אור " = 207 + " ע " = 70 (represent seven lower Sefirot). For the knowledgeable of you read Psalms 97:11 " אוֹר, זָרֻעַ לַצַּדִּיק; וּלְיִשְׁרֵי-לֵב שִׂמְחָה ". (Notice that the letter vav is missing from the second word).

If another person knows about a connection of a couple, they could influence the consciousness of the connection and the result could be a child that is not really theirs.

When Rachel gave Bilha to Jacob she actually controlled the connection and the consciousness. The children came pure and spiritually high.

Reuben knew that his father would connect to Bilha on the eighth day, the \’Mitzvah\’ day. Rachel was gone so the connection would be with Bilha and not with the proper consciousness. This could bring a child that was not at the level of his brothers. The Zohar explains that Reuben moved his father\’s bed on the Mitzvah day (the eighth day) and created a disconnection in the spiritual realm between Jacob and Bilha.

He did the right thing and for that, the Torah scroll shows a new paragraph to begin in the middle of the verse. That space in the middle of the verse signifies a great light. The verse ends with " וַיִּהְיוּ בְנֵי-יַעֲקֹב, שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר " " Now the sons of Jacob were twelve ".

We learn about the importance of the consciousness that is involved when a husband and wife is connected. Bringing a child to the world is a serious act and not a simple physical connection and transferring some matter between one and the other. Only one seed can penetrate the egg and once it does, all the rest \’escorting\’ seeds are there to help the connection of the Light and vessel. It maybe a tiny, microscopic matter but it can carry a world of consciousness.

Jacob got out of his home city and reached a place where he slept, had a dream (the most famous dream in the world…) and after he woke up he realized that he found the gates of heaven. In the dream, G-d reveals an amazing future for Jacob and promises not to leave him until he fulfills his words to Jacob.

Jacob didn\’t even ask to see G-d.

Jacob was born with a mission to be a chariot to the sefira (spiritual dimension) of Tiferet. This is the central column and the balance. Right is Abraham, left is Isaac and both were not enough to establish the connection to the upper three sefirot (Keter, Chokmah and Binah). He was born perfect and all his actions were to follow and support the spiritual system.

Genesis 25:27 " וְיַעֲקֹב אִישׁ תָּם ", the English translation for this is "Jacob was a quiet man ", but the word " תָּם " in Hebrew means flawless and complete.

Abraham had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac. Ishmael came from the Left and Isaac from the right. Isaac brought Esau and Jacob. Esau from the left and Jacob from the Right.

Jacob knew about the great mission he had in life even before he was born. He let Esau come out first but he was holding his heal. He knew Esau\’s weaknesses and used it to buy his birthrights.

Now Jacob goes Lavan, his uncle to have a stronger control over the left side energy. The early sages tell us that Rachel and Leah were twins and at the age of 14 when Jacob met them. Leah was supposed to marry Esau and Rachel was supposed to marry Jacob. Rashi comments that Leah\’s eyes were soft (or weak as some translations use) because she cried a lot thinking of her future marriage to Esau. Leah was born first and she is related to the level of Binah (female side) represented by the first letter " ה " of the Tetragrammaton. Rachel is related to Malchut, the last letter " ה " of the Tetragrammaton. Jacob was supposed to take his place in the Middle as Tiferet, Zeir Anpin, and the letter " ו " of the Tetragrammaton.

Jacob\’s soul was determined to fulfill its mission and was ready for any work required to achieve that goal. The whole spiritual system depended upon him. Jacob had to succeed and he put a heavy price on himself to connect to his wife. He \’volunteered\’ seven years of work for Rachel. Remember that Jacob was about 60 years old at that time.

The Zohar asks why Jacob didn\’t suggest less time like 10 or 12 months. The reason was that Jacob didn\’t look for a \’good deal\’ with his uncle, Lavan. He wanted to pay the full price to connect to his wife. He knew that she is on the spiritual level he needs to connect and seven years were the exact time needed to connect to all the seven levels. In a well performed wedding, the bride (Malchut) surrounds the groom, seven times until she stands next to him. This connection is finalized with seven blessings.

Hinduism also takes the bride and groom together where they circle a fire seven times. On the last round (seventh) the female leads.

After the seven years, Jacob approached Lavan and asked for his wife (Genesis 29:21) " וַיֹּאמֶר יַעֲקֹב אֶל-לָבָן הָבָה אֶת-אִשְׁתִּי, כִּי מָלְאוּ יָמָי; וְאָבוֹאָה, אֵלֶיהָ " "And Jacob said unto Laban: \’Give me my wife, for my days are filled, that I may go in unto her". Even though the deal was to work seven years for Rachel, Jacob did not ask specifically for her, he asked for his wife. The Zohar reveals that G-d wanted him to marry Leah first and connect to Binah, which is a higher and concealed level.

Lavan\’s two twin girls were planned to marry his sister\’s twin boys. Leah was intended to Esau and Rachel for Jacob. Lavan knew that he will benefit more from keeping Jacob longer with him. Jacob already carried the blessing from G-d (Genesis 28:14) " וְנִבְרְכוּ בְךָ כָּל-מִשְׁפְּחֹת הָאֲדָמָה, וּבְזַרְעֶךָ " "…And in you and in your seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed". His \’businesses\’ grew tremendously while Jacob was working for him. Lavan\’s selfishness was good for Jacob and he could fulfill his spiritual mission and connect to Leah and Rachel (Binah and Malchut).

This connection created a flow of light to the world through him and we see that after he connected to Rachel, Leah began having children. All of the children were spiritual giants with awesome forces and that is because Jacob made the perfect connection and the light could flow without negativity attached to it.

The sages also tell us that only after Rachel was given to Jacob; Lavan could have sons of his own. Jacob\’s work affected everything. It wasn\’t a selfish action; he did it for the whole world. The world became stable and the upper two triangles were formed. (Keter. Chokmah, Binah and Chessed, Gevurah, Tiferet). Josef came after Jacob as the Sefirah of Yesod to extend the central column and channel the light to Malchut. Aharon and Moshe (Netzach and Hod) formed the vessel by bringing the Torah to the people.

The Zohar of Vayetze, talks about the power of consciousness in relation to Jacob\’s actions.

A pure consciousness and actions connect us to our mission in life and let us draw successful outcome.

The sages in the Midrash tell us that when the angel of the other side (left column system, Sam–ael), saw that he lost the soul of Yitzchak, he went to Sarah and told her that Yitzchak was slaughtered by Avraham and sacrificed to G-d.

Sarah cried six times, three to connect to the lower three Sefirot and three to the upper three Sefirot. Her soul left her body and she died. She was 127 years old.

The Torah tells us that she died in Kiryat Arba (meaning city of four) and continues immediately and explains that Kiryat Arba is Hebron. The root word is " חֶבְר " and it means connection of two sides.

So what is the city of four and what is the connection that is referred here. The great Torah commentator, Rashi, explains that the name is after the four couples that are buried there, Adam and Eve, Avraham and Sarah, Yitzchak and Rivka, Yaakov and Leah. Rachel is in Bethlehem on the way to Jerusalem but the reason for that is related to the coming of Mashiach and I will explain this in another article.

Avraham found the cave in the fields that belongs to Efron. He could see the image of Adam and Eve. He also saw that they were buried by the entrance to the Garden of Eden that was in the cave of Machpelah (from the root word " כפל " \’double\’ in Hebrew).

That was the reason why he wanted to have ownership of this place. He was ready to pay any price and he did pay the full price. His intension was to give us, the future generations, the connection to the tree of life. The patriarchs and the matriarchs that are buried there protect the entrance to the Garden of Eden for us until the time of the resurrection of the dead.

The Zohar of this parasha dedicates a lengthy article about the resurrection of the Dead. When we read the above, we get a hint to the underlying power that is revealed in this parasha.

The ten spiritual giants who are buried in the \’cave of the double\’, in Hebron , signify the importance of the place and the connection between the upper and lower. The Zohar refers to the Machpela as the place of connecting upper and lower Jerusalem .

Avraham bought the land form Efron. His name comes from the word " עפר ", which means dust of the earth. The numerical value is 350.

Efron is written in the Torah as " עֶפְרוֹן " When Avraham paid him for the field and the cave (Genesis 23:16 ) his name was written as " עֶפְרֹן " with the letter Vav missing from the name. That makes the numerical value of 400, the exact amount Avraham paid for his purchase. The commentator "Baal Haturim" also mentions that " עֶפְרֹן " has the same numerical value of " עין־רע ", "evil eye".

We learn a great lesson from this transaction. When we pay the full price, we take ownership and remove any negativity from the deal. Avraham took the Vav from Efron, that letter represents the pipe and the connection of upper and lower. At the same time he controlled Efron\’s evil eye.

(Just to make it clear. I do not suggest that you will start paying any price for your future purchases. What is important is that when it comes to something of great value to you, you should make sure that the seller is satisfied with the deal. You do not want their \’evil eye\’ attached to your new possession. Especially when you buy a business, a house, a car or anything that you will use on a daily basis.)

The Zohar tells us a story of King Solomon that one day he took control over the king of demons. King Solomon asked him what is the best advice he can give him and the answer was "Pay full price to avoid the negativity from coming in".

We want the blessings in everything we do and have. In 24:1 we connect to the blessing of G-d to Avraham " וַיקוָק בֵּרַךְ אֶת-אַבְרָהָם, בַּכֹּל ", "and G-d had blessed Abraham in all things" (We use this blessing when we recite the blessing over the food, \’Birkat Hamazon\’)

Avraham established control over the gates to the Garden of Eden and bridged the gap between death (our world, Tree of Knowledge Good and Bad) and life (Garden of Eden and Tree of Life). This is the reason the Zohar talks a lot about the system of death and resurrection of the dead in the discussion of this parasha.

One important point from the Zohar is about the existence of the special bone in a body named " עצם־הלוז ". This bone is not connected to or fed by the body. It is a tiny bone in an unknown place between the head and the body. There are several opinions to the actual place but the Ari (Rabbi Isaac Luria) and Rabbi Avraham Azulai said that its place is at the base of the neck. It could not be anywhere else because the head represents the top three Sefirot (Keter Chokmah and Binah) and the body connects to the lower seven Sefirot.

The Zohar explains that when the special dew " טל " (The deeper meaning is the " יהו " in Milui or " יוד־הא־ואו "), will come down from heaven (upper three Sefirot), it will touch the neck bone and will get soften and expand to four directions to form the body anew.

The Zohar also describes that G-d took dust " עפר " from the earth and spread it to four directions to create Adam.

When it says " כי-עפר אתה, ואל-עפר תשוב " "for you are dust, and unto dust you shall return." we see the past and the future. It doesn\’t say into the ground as in death of the body, but to " עפר ", which is the seed of its creation and its resurrection.

We learn from the Zohar that the neck bone " עצם־הלוז " (numerical value is 248), is the starting point in creating Adam\’s body. " עפר " (dust) also appears first time in the creation of Adam. Genesis 2:7 " וַיִּיצֶר יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים אֶת-הָאָדָם, עָפָר מִן-הָאֲדָמָה " "Then G-d formed man of the dust of the ground". That dust is the seed of the physical body encapsulate into the neck bone " עצם־הלוז ", which is immortal. It will stay until the resurrection of the Dead. It is interesting to know that babies are born with 350 bones in their body. 350 is the numerical value of " עָפָר ", dust. As the baby grows to become adult, many bones fused together to form 206 bones and 42 joints and together 248. It is the same numerical value as Avraham and " עצם־הלוז " (neck bone).

" עפר " is " ע " = 70 + " פר "= 280 = " םןץףך ". Some of you will understand this but the main point is to understand that Avraham bought more than a piece of real estate; he bought a future for us.

This week, on the 24 th of Mar Cheshvan, is the Hillulah of Rabbi Avraham Azulai, a great Kabbalist who was born in Morocco , lived and died in Hebron . He had the opportunity to get into the Garden of Eden and come out alive. In his book "Chessed L\’Avraham" he reveals many Kabbalah Secrets. I will send a separate email related to this.

What makes Avraham so special? We can find one of the reasons in the above verse from Genesis 22:2. When G-d "Tested" Avraham he instructed him to take his son to the land of Moriah and offer him there on one of the mountains. We all know the story. Some ten years ago I heard a taped lecture by Rabbi Yitzchak Ginzburg and he refers to this verse as a dialog between G-d and Avraham.

G-d: Take your son!
Avraham: Which one?
God: Your only son.
Avraham: I have two sons.
G-d: The one that you loved.
Avraham: I love them both.
G-d: Isaac.

This interesting conversation teaches us that Avraham had built in him unconditional love. He treated everyone equally, he was known also as a great host. Everyone was welcome in his home.

Ishmael was his son from his wife\’s servant, yet he treated him as equal.

Because he was able to accept the light of the creator unconditionally and share it with everyone, he merited to be the chariot to the sefirah of Chessed. He is the one that opens the gate of prayers for us. All major prayers begin with Avraham, Isaac and Jacob. They are the three lead chariots of the Light to this world and Avraham is leading.

To open the upper gates for the Light to flow into our lives, we need to be like Avraham, practicing unconditional love and sharing.

One of the great lessons I learned from the Zohar is related to Avraham and it gives us understanding and power to have the unconditional love. The Zohar tells us that Terach, Avraham\’s father, was a negative person and idol worshiper. His son established a connection to the light to flow down to our world. If we were to think that the world would\’ve been a better place without him then we are wrong. We never know what would come out of a person. We should never think about killing someone, but send them love and light.

A change or transformation comes with light, not darkness. Terach changed himself, left idol worshiping, turned to be a positive and loving person shortly after Avraham was born.

We find more of such an example in this parasha with the story of Lot and his daughters. We read about Avraham coming to save his brother, Lot , from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorra. After Lot left Sodom and find refuge in a cave, the older daughter made her father drunk and had sexual connection with him (Genesis 19:33 ). From this connection we have the seed of Mashiach and the final redemption. (The son was Moav…Ruth… David…)

There is a special dot above letter " וּ " of the word " וּבְקוּמָהּ ". The four letters " קוּמָה " is the same as " מקוה ", Mikveh, which is a special water pool that cleanses spiritually. " ו " is the letter that channels the Light to the world. The dot puts this particular one on a higher level.

This word is also related to the time when G-d will rise to remove all negativity from the world. " קוּמָה יְ ק וָ ק , וְיָפֻצוּ אֹיְבֶיךָ, וְיָנֻסוּ מְשַׂנְאֶיךָ, מִפָּנֶיךָ " (Numbers 10:35 ).

You may think that Lot \’s daughter made a terrible act but the result was not so. Rav Shraga Berg, commented on that and said that the older daughter saw the destruction of Sodom and Gomorra as the destruction of the whole world. Her mother had turned to stone earlier and she believed that with her action she will save the world by creating continuation. That consciousness merited her to have a son that from his seed, Mashiach will come. Let us hope it will be today, Amen.

Vayechi is the last parasha in Genesis "בְּרֵאשִׁית " and as such, completes the level of the whole book, Keter "כתר ". Keter is the point above the head where the original thought comes in to our mind. All our actions precede a thought. We do not control the original thought. It comes to us from the spiritual realm, enters the brain (right and left) and gets processed before action is taken.

Vayechi is called "parasha stumah" "פרשה־סתומה ", meaning closed parasha. This term is used when the end of the previous parasha and the start of the next parasha are on the same line with no space.

The Torah is such an amazing code and tool that we cannot even grasp its awesomeness. Like Rabbi Akiva and Rabbi Shimon said that every letter in the Torah is holy and in it s perfect place. Rabbi Akiva adds that he can give "mountains" of lectures on every letter in it. The rules of writing the Torah preserved this tool\’s integrity without corruption for the last 3320 years.
Vayechi is a closed parasha in order to connect the light from the whole book of Genesis into it.

When we listen to the parasha, we have the opportunity to connect to the light of Keter, to the thought and purpose of the whole creation. On the individual level you can meditate to connect to your own purpose in life and ask for the right thoughts to come to you and guide you in your life.

The book of Genesis starts with the special letter "ב " (Bet) at the top of the first column and in this parasha we find the letter "י " at the top of the column (Genesis 49:8).

The two special letter sums up to 12 to bring the power of Jacob\’s blessing to his 12 sons. Since Keter represents the original thought of creation then the end is already included in it. The Architect knows how the building will look like before he draws the first line on the drawing board.

The architect of our universe put the whole creation in Genesis, from beginning to end. This is why Rabbi Shimon wrote the 70 "Tikunim", explanations, to the first word of the Torah, "בְּרֵאשִׁית ", which is the beginning of all beginnings. Vayechi completes the first book and seals the thought of creation.

Jacob (Tiferet), before he died, made a connection with Joseph (Yesod), so that the flow of the light of the central column would continue through Joseph (Yesod) to Malchut. This was done at the beginning of the parasha when Jacob asked Joseph to put his hand under his thigh and made him swear. "שבועה " in Hebrew is from the root word, seven "שבע ". This act connects the upper six sefirot to the seventh, Malchut. That is why the sages say that if a person swears and does not follow his commitment, it is like destroying worlds.

At this stage Jacob knews G-d\’s plan and he gathered his sons to give them the blessings. Genesis 49:1
" וַיִּקְרָא יַעֲקֹב, אֶל-בָּנָיו; וַיֹּאמֶר, הֵאָסְפוּ וְאַגִּידָה לָכֶם, אֵת אֲשֶׁר-יִקְרָא אֶתְכֶם, בְּאַחֲרִית הַיָּמִים "
And Jacob called unto his sons, and said: \’Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you which shall happened to you in the end of days.

We see that Jacob actually brought them together to tell them what would happen in the end of days. As we mentioned earlier, Keter holds everything in it, the beginning and the end. Jacob saw the future and he channeled the proper energy to his sons through the different blessings.

Special attention to the two verses 48:16 "הַמַּלְאָךְ הַגֹּאֵל אֹתִי מִכָּל-רָע, יְבָרֵךְ אֶת-הַנְּעָרִים , וְיִקָּרֵא בָהֶם שְׁמִי, וְשֵׁם אֲבֹתַי אַבְרָהָם וְיִצְחָק; וְיִדְגּוּ לָרֹב, בְּקֶרֶב הָאָרֶץ ." "the angel who has redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named in them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.\’". Jacob connects his own angels to the children of Joseph and to all of us. This blessing is used on Friday nights for fathers to bless their children (with the energy of Shabbat, of completion).

The other special verse is in 49:22 "בֵּן פֹּרָת יוֹסֵף, בֵּן פֹּרָת עֲלֵי-עָיִן; בָּנוֹת, צָעֲדָה עֲלֵי-שׁוּר .", "Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine by a fountain; its branches run over the wall." This gives the protection from all evil eyes. All the blessings are important, for financial and spiritual growth. The number of verses in this parasha is 85 and it is equal to "פה ", mouth, to strengthen the power of Jacob\’s blessings to his sons and to all of us.

At the end of the Parasha, Joseph asks his brothers to swear to him that when G-d will redeem them they will take its bones (also essence) with them. "וַיַּשְׁבַּע יוֹסֵף, אֶת-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵאמֹר: פָּקֹד יִפְקֹד אֱלֹהִים אֶתְכֶם, וְהַעֲלִתֶם אֶת-עַצְמֹתַי מִזֶּה ." "And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying: \’God will surely remember you, and you shall carry up my bones from hence."

Let us pray that the final redemption will be Today, Amen.

In 2007, Wall Street\’s five biggest firms — Bear Stearns, Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, and Morgan Stanley — paid a record $39 billion in bonuses to themselves.


That\’s $10 billion more than the $29 billion loan taxpayers are making to J.P. Morgan to save Bear Stearns.
Those 2007 bonuses were paid even though the shareholders in those firms last year collectively lost about $74 billion in stock declines — their worst year since 2002. These company executives are still fiercely fighting to protect their pay.

When the government last bailed out Chrysler in 1979, the unions took a hefty pay cut and Lee Iacocca cut his pay to $1 per year until all the loans were paid back. That was about 30 years ago.

Today we don\’t see rich giants like Andrew Carnegie that is considered to be the second richest person in history with a net worth of over 300 billion dollars (today\’s value). After he grew rich he gave most of his money to charities and educational organizations. He established public libraries throughout the United States and more.

Most Americans are mad about this issue. Government with the Socialism act now protects and supports Capitalism.  

Before you get mad at them remember that your negative reaction adds to the negativity in the world. If someone picks a fight with you and you respond with a fight, you create war. Look for what you can do positively and not for what you can object and negate.

This absolute selfishness and consciously (and legally) taking the money of millions of tax payers for the top few is Sodom and Gomorra 2008. The level of the desire for the self is at peak not just in the Wall Street but all over the world.

The fall of investment banking in New York affected all money markets around the world. We shouldn\’t blame THEM or the government. We should blame ourselves. It is our small acts of selfishness and disregards of the care for other people have accumulated throughout the years to hit us back in the face.

We do not need a Jedi master like Obi-Wan (Star Wars movie) to sense that "there is a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices cried out in terror…"

There is a cause and effect system.

When we accumulate enough money to feel "secure" we forget our purpose in life (Deuteronomy 8:18)

וְזָכַרְתָּ, אֶת-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ–כִּי הוּא הַנֹּתֵן לְךָ כֹּחַ, לַעֲשׂוֹת חָיִל
  לְמַעַן הָקִים אֶת-בְּרִיתוֹ אֲשֶׁר-נִשְׁבַּע לַאֲבֹתֶיךָ, כַּיּוֹם הַזֶּה

"But you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He that gives you

power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore unto your fathers, as it is this day"

The covenant is channeling and using the Light of the Creator to do for others. When we forget about "the Snake", who is the master of illusions, he opens his big mouth and swallows our energy.

Like the snake with a forked tongue of half truth and half lies, they tempt us and take our energy. "The bull
has been swallowed by the Snake"…

Our own selfishness increases the power of the negative force that surrounds us. It feeds "the Snake" and when it grows he has no mercy. He wants more and drains our energy. This is the secret of the law of entropy. (It works only on physical matter)

This is Sodom and Gomorra 2008. We created it and it is banging at our doors.

This is the darkness and also the hope. The Torah reveals us the seed of Mashiach in this parasha. In the darkness of Sodom God hid his most precious gift to us, Mashiach seed.

Lot carried it with him. His father, Haran who was an idol worshipper, was free from the influence of negativity so God used him to carry the seed and pass it to Lot. (Haran converted and turned righteous later).

 Lot\’s name is Lamed, Vav, and Tet. The Lamed is the connection above as it is built from Caf and Vav, The Tet is the letter of Tov (Good, Ohr Tov of the first 36 hours of Creation), Lamed and Tet has the value of 39 (Tal and the value of the Milui of the first three letters of the Tetragramaton). Vav is the seed of Mashiach and is protected in the middle of the name.

The Ari in sefer Halikutim reveals the deep secrets.  After the "escape" from the destruction, Lot and his daughters found rest in a cave, where the daughters made their father drunk and extracted the seed form him in order to create continuation for the existence of the world.

The first born daughter lay with her father we read,

"וַתָּבֹא הַבְּכִירָה וַתִּשְׁכַּב אֶת-אָבִיהָ, וְלֹא-יָדַע בְּשִׁכְבָהּ וּבְקוּמָהּ"
"And the first-born went in, and lay with her father; and he knew not when she lay down, nor when she arose"

Later the younger daughter did similar action and we read,

"וַתָּקָם הַצְּעִירָה וַתִּשְׁכַּב עִמּוֹ, וְלֹא-יָדַע בְּשִׁכְבָהּ וּבְקֻמָהּ"
"And the younger arose, and lay with him; and he knew not when she lay down, nor when she arose."

It looks like the same verse but with one huge difference. The word "וּבְקוּמָהּ

" (Arose) of the first one has the letter Vav with a special dot above it. Abram asks God "whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?".
Why did Abram question God about this? Didn\’t he believe God, when he was at his presence?

The answer is that at that moment Abram realized that he was responsible for whatever happens in his life. The "stars" and the spiritual system showed him a different future.  His question was correct and in place.
God didn\’t delay the answer and immediately instructed Abram with a strange request. "Bring me a heifer עֶגְלָה, a goat וְעֵז  and a ram וְאַיִל, each three years old, along with a dove and a young pigeon". The English translation talks about three years, in other places there are other translation/interpretations.

The important point here is that there are 3,3,3 elements. Together 9 + 2 (dove and pigeon). 
The tree of Life has three triangles + Malchut at the base. So here we have 9+2=11 elements. We know that there are 10 Sefirot so what is the connection here?. Abraham in Sefer Yetzirah (The Book of Formation) tells us that there are 10 sefirot and NOT nine, and then he continues, 10 and NOT eleven.

The structure of the Tree of Life has 10 sefirot. When the light flows through the tree of life there are 11 sefirot which are active (Including Da\’at) and 9 sefirot(Malchut in the dark) when they\’re not active.
 All elements split in the middle to give opportunity to Abram to connect them together.  This is the point where Abram has established his channel to the sefira of Chessed.

In the continuation of the chapter, God reveals the future to Abram.  All the elements in this story are deeply coded but we can find few key elements that connect to the future. The word "פְּגָרִים" (carcasses) has the numerical value of 333 and "עַיִט" (bird of prey) is 89. Together we get 422 (the value of the word "שבעים", seventy). By adding 2 for the kolel we get 424, which equals to Mashiach Ben David. The great Torah commentator, Rashi, comments on this verse (15:11) for the word "וַיַּשֵּׁב" (=318) that it implies to The Mashiach.
For those who understand this (כחבחגתנהימ = 546 x 10 = 5460 + 318 = 5778 (=2018))

 Abram was 70 during that event. He was born in 1948 (Hebrew Calendar) and the covenant was 70 years later in 2018. In his book "The Divine Calendar", Jeff (Ezra) Meiliken writes about the connection and parallels of the Hebrew and Gregorian calendars. Interesting point is the nation of Israel had declared its independence in 1948 and 70 years later; in 2018 we expect to see a great revelation of the Light and may be a new covenant with Mashiach presence.
